In the mid 1970s he hooked people up to hospital EEG machines so that he could study their brainwave patterns. When these people were shown emotionally charged cartoons, characteristic patterns flickered through their brainwaves. Strangely, these patterns began to emerge a few seconds before they actually saw the pictures.

It would be nice if the article mentioned little details like whether the researcher was seeing and/or knowing the content of the cartoons a few seconds before they were placed in the test subject's line of vision. If so, this would be evidence of mind-to-mind telepathy at close range, not of "global consciousness", much less of ability to predict the future.

These are professional parapsychologists. Actually, they have appeared on Coast several times and have an interesting patter, good for a couple hours of radio entertainment.
