Clinton could turn toxic as options dry up (Memo: Hillary To Go Nuclear Against Obama)

Analysis: Clinton could turn toxic as options dry up

The Wisconsin defeat for Hillary Clinton means that she has to win big on March 4 - and may campaign more negatively

A few months back, as Barack Obama’s campaign was just beginning to look like it might seriously challenge Hillary Clinton’s presidential ambitions, a senior Obama campaign official sent a warning to his staff.

It was a succinct message designed to forewarn and forearm his people against what was expected to be a ferocious onslaught from an increasingly desperate Clinton campaign.

“Better get your hazmat suits on”, the memo told them

Mrs Clinton is running out of options. There’s a growing sense that she may now choose to go aggressively negative. She is under pressure from some in her campaign to step up the attacks on Mr Obama, especially over his inexperience.

The Clinton campaign may need to reach deeper into the negative campaigning armoury if they are to have any chance. They will doubtless be looking at Mr Obama’s remarkably low negative ratings in polls and wondering how they can push them up.

Until now the danger has been that negative attacks could backfire. That is a risk that will probably now have to be taken, even if it damages the Democratic party as a whole. The Clintons have only a matter of days to save their lifelong aspirations. They will not give them up without a fight.

I am unaware of McCain's suicide wishes.....LOL...

Oh but think of unifying for one and all time the gender vote... then they can deal together with this young upstart causing a rebellion in their midst.... Hey, Hillary could be the 'first' white woman VEEP for four years and then be all ready with papers in hand demonstrating how well experienced she is.... That teeny bop-per better learn some respect.

“Clinton could turn toxic...”

Clinton(’s) is (are) toxic. Includes the three of them. Let ‘em dig it deep, then bury them in it.

The Death of the Dim Party as we know it.

That if they steal the nomination and are convicted of fraud before the election, though?

“that” if was supposed to be “what if”. Anyhow, what if they steal the nomination and get convicted before the election? What if they’re actually ELECTED and impeached afterward on the same fraud charges they’re facing now?

Dennis Miller was on O’ Reilly’s show last week. The pompous one said to Miller all hell would break loose,so the Clintons wouldn’t try it, since the party would be split before the election. Miller responded with “Well, you see, Bill, you’re still operating under the misguided assumption that this is all about the democratic party and the election. It isn’t. It’s all about the Clintons, and always has been.” Miller’s bet: They’ll do it. I can only hope he’s right.

“Nobody will agrue that Repubs are not as energized as the dems...”

I will. With the performance Republican politicians have turned in the last 6 years, many Republicans are saying “whats the point?”

I've noticed McCain is concentrating on attacking Obama. I don't think that is simply because Obama is the front runner.

I think McCain knows he need anti-Clinton sentiment to turn out Republicans to vote for him.

Obama is weak on substance, but Democrat voters will turn out to vote for him.

It's far more questionable if Republicans will show up to vote for McCain.

I don't know of a single democrat to whom "substance" matters one wit.

“Her money has dried up too, again.

Last night she felt the need to mention something about a woman sending her $10 here, and a “cranky conservative man” sending her a few dollars there. She may as well have had a flashing neon sign on her podium blaring “SEND CASH NOW.”

And she just wasted big bucks on that incredibly stupid “night-shift” commercial that will get laughed off the airwaves and parodied on YouTube.

I think she’s had to quietly “borrow” millions more “from herself” these last couple of weeks. But now she’s in the hole again...without a peep about anything additional being borrowed these last two weeks. Now what will she say about that cash, in light of now needing even more?

Hillary: OPEN YOUR BOOKS.

She is sunk. Her cash swamp is dry.”

Did anyone ever think to ask her:

How can you manage the country, when you can’t manage your own campaign budget ???????????

Followup.

Mitt Romney spent 35 million of his own money, you and Bill certainly have that much.

So why not announce that you believe in America so much that you will not take the peoples money.

After all you feel for those less fortunates don’t you????

Expected responses - VRWC , death stares, SS piling on person asking question.......

The closer we get to the convention and the election itself, the more urgently our inner bigot will be begging to be released from his political holding cell.

Please explain what you are referring to (”inner bigot”).

I for one, would have no problem voting for a minority/female for president, if that candidate had the right worldview and platform.

I just won’t vote for THAT minority, or for THAT woman, because they are authoritarian secular socialists (ASSes).

The reason I want Billary to steal the nomination is to fracture the Dhimmicrat voting base.

” There is really no “legitimate” option left for the Clintons to pull this nomination off. It might still look close in the delegate count but that is due to the proportional assignment of delegates that the Democrats use, where even in states where the Clintons are blown out by Obama, they still pick up a healthy share of delegates.

Consider Wisconsin last night. 92 delegates up for grabs and even though Obama won by 17 points (a landslide by any definition), he will only “net” about 10 delegates from Wisconsin.

Of course, this works both ways. Even if the Clintons were to win in Texas, Ohio and PA, their margin of victory would have to be about 40 points in each state to pull even with Obama. So if the Clintons win each of those states by 5-10 points, they are still going to be behind in the delegate count.

So barring a total collapse by the Obama campaign, he is going to head into the convention with a lead (most likely a healthy lead) in pledged delegates.

Now everybody talks about the Clintons pulling a coup in the convention with the superdelegates. I just don’t see that happening. Long before the convention, the superdelegates will get behind who they perceive as the “winner” and barring some ridiculous set of events, that can only be Obama.”

Time for the major media to start talking the way you did.

Simple math, is what the major headlines should be. Most viewers don’t get the intricate ways the dems manipulate the results......

17 points should yield more than a net of 10.......

CALLING ON ALL REPUBLICANS IN THE GREAT STATE OF TEXAS

Last night Hillery said she was “ready to defeat the Republicans” I say we have a rare opportunity to take her on directly, and take her out.

The state of Texas has open voting. We should all tell/plead/beg our friends and family in Texas to “pimp” ourselves out for one day. Vote Obama and sweep that woman into the dust bin of history.

Here’s our chance republicans - why do you hesitate?

Like it or not, Maverick is our horse. His nomination is sure. Lets use our vote wisely on March 4th and end
this once and for all.

She wants to take on the Republicans huh? I say we should meet her on the battle field of Texas and give her exactly what she wants - a royal butt whipping. I just hope she dont cry again.
