ROwan is destroying what was left of Anglicanism. I can’t see the Nigerian Anglicans (who ARE orthodox) standing for this — especially since Nigerian Christians are threatened by Sharia-wielding muslims in the north who now say that Christians support gay marriages and abortion.

We always take the good things we have for granted. As a result, we fail to protect them. Religion is one of the good things. Perhaps Rowan Williams will be the catalyst that makes us treasure what we might lose.

Definitions:

Liberal: tolerant of change; not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or tradition.

Conservative: resistant to change.

Christian: following the teachings or manifesting the qualities or spirit of Jesus Christ who personally cited the Scriptures as the inerrant Word of God.

Therefore, the term, "liberal Christian," is an oxymoron. This article merely confirms the obvious.

Actually the Nigerian Church is emerging as the head church in their communion. I think the most underreported story of the century is how american churches are placing then selfs under the authority of 3rd world bishops. It’s Christianity shift it’s center of power.

I consider that a good thing — the Nigerians may be third-world economically, but the ECUSA and the English/Scottish church is definitely third-rate spiritually

Your tagline:

("We don't start fights my friends, but we finish them, and never leave until our work is done."PMSH)

Gave me an idea for Bill Clinton's attempt at sounding like Winston Churchill:

"We shall do them on the beaches..."

Cheers!

"The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Anglicans, the United church and liberal Christianity all over the western world have become largely irrelevant."

Correction:

'The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Anglicans, the United church and liberal apostasy all over the western world have become largely irrelevant.'

There - it's fixed now.

He needs to be sent down to Craggy Island to join his soulmate and step brother, Fr. Jack Hackett.

What a disgusting offense to God, is Rowan Williams.
And now he tries to lie his way out of his “Gods rules mean nothing” liberal death cultism.

Who really cares what the Archdruid of Paganbury thinks?

I mean, geez what a little nerd. He should be wearing a pink suit and playing Grandfather Twilight.

In the 3rd world, all one has to do essentially is to worry about your survival as a breathing human being. Spritually speaking, it’s so liberating. Oh and how, how blessed really, to not to have to worry and account for all your riches to the state, and God when it’s your time.

They are to be envied because they are Lazurus at the gate of the rich man, and because our collective poverty of the soul in the land of excess makes life really really hard
