He said he was a Republican because he was RICH! during the 80’s.
He’s good for laughs but when a subject matter of importance and intelligence comes along, his IQ goes down faster than his dunks.
The pro-”choice” pronouncement shows that he is ignorant and chooses to remain ignorant. Many who lack intelligence and basic human morality try to seem intelligent and “sophisticated” by taking this kind of position. What more can be expected from a semi-literate basketball player.

Ummm I love Charles myself, but here’s a man that was educated at one of our illustrious college campii and went straight into...
being coddled by the NBA for ga-jillions of dollars wholly unaffected by life as most of us live it.
His ideas of liberalism, socialism, conservatism and fake Christiaintiy has most likely been learned by what he’s heard from liberal professors (WHEN he attended class or was remotely conscious) at uppe crust cocktail parties or while playing play station with a bud.
NO idea what he’s been doing since retirement but I can’t IMAGINE it’s been much more productive as far as educating himself about conservatism!

Exactly. And Roger Clemens is fighting for his reputation right now as other right-leaning athletes and entertainers seem to have to do if they dare to espouse their political beliefs, but that big lug Barkley, he’s hailed as a political analyst.
Uh, Charles, give a man a fish ... teach a man to fish, liberal ... conservative, get it straight dude.
He gets payed to play a game. Who cares what he has to say on anything?
Just make sure to duck if a bell rings while you’re around him...How does a basketball player end up like an over the hill boxer, who took more than a few unintended dives at the end of his career? Some bookie musta taken a baseball bat to his head when he couldn’t come up with his money.
He doesn’t know what he is talking about. Besides, isn’t he judging? It is impossible not to judge unless you have no opinions about anything at all. Final judgment belongs with God, but the truths God has revealed in Scripture are God’s judgments. If Barkley is pro abortion and homosexual marriage, he is disagreeing with God.
One more thing....his candidate, McCain, claims to be against both of those things. Is Barkley saying he believes McCain is for them?
