Other than the socialist Mike Huckabee and isolationist Ron Paul, John McCain was at the bottom of my list for a preferred candidate. On the other side of the equation, it is looking like Barack Hussein Obama may overrun the ice queen Hitlery Clinton. What makes that scary is Obama is to the left of the ice queen.
I have read posts from both sides of the McCain debate, the 'if you don't vote for McCain it is a vote for the democrat' gang and the 'I will not subjugate my conservative principles and vote for McCain' crowd. Personally, I support the rights (read freedom) of everyone to make such choices.
For me, my vote will be guided by my own priorities. What do I value most ? What is most important ? The scale weighed on one side love of country and on the other love of ideology. My country always comes first. So as distasteful as it will be to vote for McCain, to allow either Marxist, Hitlery or Obama, to win is to sell out my country.
Is your ideology more important then your country ? Do you only love your country if the elected leaders are those who mirror your ideological beliefs ? If one is willing to hand your country over to leaders who are clearly worse than the alternative, then one clearly loves their country, but they love their ideology more. But that is the unique trait of a free people, they have the freedom to place that order on their priorities.
I will jump right up and vote for the McAmnesty after fighting him for the last two years on McAmnesty. NOT!
Actually, along with Arthur Baker, he was the co-producer of many seminal electro and hip-hop records from the early/mid-80s, such as "Planet Rock."
You mean that 12 miles out of 7 hundred that was started two years ago. McAmnesty may be your man but I will never vote for him.
The same thing McCain has done during his 25 years in Congress. McCain, Obama, and Hillary all signed the 2006 Secure Fence Act, which passed the Senate 80-19. They all pay lip service to securing the border. They all are currently serving in the Senate. Only 111 miles of fence have been built.
All three voted for the 2006 Senate amnesty bill [S. 2611], which passed and then died in the House. They all voted for McCain-Kennedy. If you believe that McCain is any better on immigration and border security than Hillary or Obama, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I want to sell to you.
Refusing to spend money already allocated and lawfully mandated to build a fence is an awfully strange method of pursuit.
No. By the time Bush is out 30% of the fence will be up.
Oops! rational thought being slipped into the fray.
Unfortunately, rational thought won’t penetrate the rinds surrounding many minds. The beams of rationality are absorbed by the rind or deflected by its wrinkled surface before they can influence thought.
The fence has already had significant progress. The government does nothing fast obviously, but at least it is going up. The fence is a substantial project and it takes a little time. I agree that it is long over do, but if you want it to be completed vote for McCain. I know he is not conservative as you would like, but he will finish the fence if for no other reason than to get support of the base. McCain had stated he will continue the fence. Has Obama?
You’re postings due (sic) not pass the Turing test.
I’m sorry, it’s simply not credible that either Bush or McCain will do anything substantial to stem Mexican immigration. Both are longstanding, open advocates of the invasion, and quite frankly appear to be more loyal to Mexico than to the United States.
Wow I made a typo. Buddy you have the intellectual capacity of a fly. You cannot argue on substance because you are incapable of formulating a rational argument. Stop posting to me.

Illegals from terrorist nations are crossing the border into Arizona.
Good question. i am not here as a McCain and Bush apologist. I just believe there is a prtofound difference between him and Obama.
OK this voter has come around.
I wanted Duncan Hunter. I moved to Romney. Now: Ill vote for McCain.
Without hesitation.
For our troops.
What would you call signing McCain Feingold and trying to force Amnesty on the country? I'd say that actions speak just as loudly as words.
Again can anyone show me how McCain would be any worse than Bush has been?
There is another tiny little blog out there that is fully in lock step with McBane. They attack anyone who refuses to vote for him.
Well, no thanks, but just because they would vote for Hitler because he has an “R” behind his name is still just what it is; Blind loyalty to a political party. The end result is much the same.
The GOP is no longer my party so long as they keep insisting that we grey out our principles or Conservative ideals just to meet with the Democrats somewhere in the mushy middle.
From Obama's website: The time to fix our broken immigration system is now We need stronger enforcement on the border and at the workplace "
So what is the difference between them on amnesty and immigration? Obama and McCain voted for the 2006 Senate amnesty bill [S. 2611] and McCain-Kennedy.
Vote for Obama if you think he will secure the border. Maybe he will. He will also negotiate with terrorists, so I will not vote for him.
Me neither, nor will I vote for McCain. There is not a dime’s worth of difference when it comes to amnesty and border security. I will vote, just not for President. I can’t be complicit in the destruction of this country.
