Do you even bother to read what one posts, or just skim and make ASSumptions?

The primary race is over. We conservatives lost, though it's hard to claim that were were ever really in the race.

McCain is going to be the nominee.

That's means that it's time for all the other Republican candidates to circle the wagons and endorse McCain is the lesser of two evils.

Even the Huckster said that he would endorse McCain if he is eventually the nominee. He just keeps saying that he can still win by some miracle.

There will still be a number of conservatives that will continue to attack McCain because they feel betrayed by him and the Republican Party, but most will show party loyalty and endorse McCain because he's a better choice than Hillary or Obama.

Romney`s liberal record gets worse.

I was no fan of Romney, but in all fairness what was he supposed to do? He could give his delegates to McCain, or he could give them to an anti-Mormon bigot.

I don't think he's a big fan of McCain, but would you really expect him to go Huckabee's way?

Huckster and many other so-called *conservatives* proved themselves to be nothing more than religious bigots the past several months. The useful idiots around here and in the republican party have now marginalized conservatives so much that they have nowhere to go, much like the cartoon on the previous page shows them wandering around in the wilderness. I suspect if anybody in the democrat leadership takes note, many conservatives will first become independents before eventually becoming conservative democrats. They used to be a huge contingent in the democrat party, before they became Regan democrats.

Another cheap pot shot at Reagan. You people need to get informed. Reagan was an adamant pro-lifer.

The 1967 Therapeutic Abortion Act that Reagan signed into law was advertised as a compassionate law that would be used to deal with the difficult abortion cases. The bill was limited to substantial risk that would gravely impair the physical or mental health of the woman, along with cases of rape and incest. Reagan at no time favored abortion on demand, personally or as a matter of public policy. And Reagan never favored Roe v Wade either.

Romney favored Roe v WAde and abortion on demand until it was necessary for political expediency to trump his liberal politics. You Can't Trust Mitt Part 1:Abortion

“Well how do ya Romney backers feel about your boy now?”

First of all, he’s no “boy”. Quite frankly, I feel fine. As much as I have concerns over McCain, he is the better alternative to The Huckster and the other two dems. Having loved ones in the middle east, I will not place their fate into the hands of these 3.

That’s what the LDS teaches.

Actually, if you red the Bible, that's what is says, so all Churches that teach the Bible technically teach that. The slam comes from saying it that way and using occult terminology and assigning it to Mormons.

This is such a common smear that I have a section on it on my Page at FR: Here

I am going to include the section here:

*****************************************************************************

Do Mormons Believe Jesus and Satan are brothers?

That depends on what you mean by brothers, suffice it to say that is not a "Mormon" teaching you will hear stated in Sunday school, but we believe the Bible, so consider the following scriptures:

Hebrews 12: 9
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
So God is the Father of Spirits...

2 Peter 2: 4
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
So Satan was once an angel, and was cast out of heaven.

Hebrews 1:7
7 And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
So angels have Spirits and can call God Father.

1 John 1:34
34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
So Satan was once an angel, Angels have a spirit, and God is the father of Spirits, also Jesus is "The Son of God" therefore, according to the Bible, they are brothers. We believe the Bible, so.... we believe that Jesus and Satan can be called brothers just like everyone who believes the Bible.

What is misleading is that this is presented as a shocking belief when it is just Biblical.

One of the Twists of phraseology is to call Satan "God's Brother" which is a phrase from the occult, and thus Phrasing this question this way makes a belief which all who believe the bible to be the word of God, cannot deny to sound like we are part of the Occult, which is the point of the question. So, when did you stop beating your wife...

Fair Mormon addresses this same topic here.

*****************************************************************************

So either, you are not a Bible believer, or you believe the same thing, either way, it's just an unfair attack to put something like this together and attack a political candidate with it. It should and Did (I believe) hurt the Huckster in the long run.

Why do I call him "huckster", because he Lied (cooperating with McCain, Mormonism, not purposefully using crosses in his commercials, etc). I have no problem with a man of God, I do have a problem with anyone who claims to be a man of God, then lies and makes men of God look bad. that's my opinion.

BTW, I still plan to write in Fred Thompson, so I'm not a mitten, but I am a Mormon living in Utah, and figure the day Hillary wins here only the dead will have voted if you know what I mean.

"You might be closer to the truth than you think. The Mayan, Aztec, I-Ching and several others predict something big around 2012 a la end of time or other such disaster. I'm not into this stuff but it IS pretty creepy that there are these indications from independent and completely separate sources. I guess we'll just have to wait and see."

I am not a Chicken Little and I won't even watch "The Left Behind Series" but I just get this feeling that fateful decisions are being made right now, from which there will be no turning back and will lead to our destruction.

A hell of thing to feel on Valentines Day!

With this move, I disagree. I’m a huge “Mitt”en...but I just can’t stomach McCain. However, I’m sure Romney has his eye on 2012, just like Reagan had his eye on 1980 in ‘76.

As someone who liked Romney, as the next best of the candidates after Hunter and Thompson, I hope you are right in the sense that Reagan also spent those intervening years writing and speaking for the conservative cause. For me to really be excited about Romney in the next round, he has to do a lot to shore up his conservative credentials as a matter of principal, not political expedience. Still, if I sound cynical, I do like him, think he's a good man, think he can make a great candidate, but needs to finish the journey to a true leader of the conservative movement.

2) As a trained religious guy, Huckster should know better.

Right. As he told us all he has a "Theology Degree" so he certainly should know.

It boils down to this.

Jesus promised his followers, “you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended” (Mat. 24:9-10).

One thing other than delegates that Mitt Romney brings to the table is his personal fortune. The fact is that in these primaries, both Hillary and Obama have accumulated far more contributions than any of the Republicans. Much of this money comes from corporate contributors who are betting that this will be a Democratic year. It is said that money is the mother's milk of politics. Mitt Romney has money, not as much as a Ross Perot or a Michael Bloomberg, but still sufficient to provide some offset to the imbalance in favor of the Democrats. If Romney is McCain's vice presidential choice, the Arizona senator will have a better funded campaign.

The Republicans must deal with the likelihood of considerable defections to the Libertarian and Constitution Parties and to apathy. If Ron Paul runs on either or both of the lines, he may get at least 5% of the vote. If the two parties run the usual unknown people, the combined percentage may be 2%, but still higher than the 1/2% they will get on a combined basis. Evangelical Christian participation will dip, as it did in the 1990s when lower turnout among evangelicals helped sink the elder Bush's re-election drive in 1992 and Bob Dole's run in 1996. All the whining about the evils of Obama or Hillary will not work any better than ranting against Bill Clinton did in 1996. Disaffection is higher than in the past. States Bush carried in 2004 like Virginia, Colorado, and Nevada will be in jeopardy.

McCain is an underdog to begin with, but the recent Obama surge may be a blessing. He may be able to appeal to blue collar and rural whites and Hispanics who are traditional Democrats but have been lukewarm to Obama. We may see states like Michigan, New Mexico, and Pennsylvania go Republican, even though the GOP loses states like Virginia and Colorado.

Then I suppose I have no core, because I belong to no religion?

I just have a different view than you do I suppose. I don’t judge a person on his religious beliefs, otherwise, I’d never NEVER talk to any Baptist ever again. I judge a person on how he/she lives their lives. The way one conducts oneself is more telling than what type of pew he/she sits in on Sunday (or Saturday)

Huckabee shouldn’t have crossed the line with the “Jesus and the Devil are brothers” crap Mormon doctrine.

There....I fixed it for you.

As a Mormon, let me say you are ignorant of the Bible and of what we believe. I have already rebutted this on this thread, go here to see the Truth about Mormon belief on this made up issue.
