That video was difficult to watch! ...ya KNEW what was going to happen... ...and that one dude, who was poking at it with the end of his weapon...what’s up with that?! Sheesh... Well...I guess the only good thing was that they died quickly.

It’s kind of like watching your kid unzip his fly to pee on gramps’ electric fence but you are too far away for him to hear you yell, “STOP!!!”

I guess they missed the class - on the chapter explaining that 2 hands retrieving or disarming HE ordnance - is usually 1 hand too many......
Most goobers have a hard enough time keeping track of their own hands, feet and hearts -—— Four goobers over a live 155mm is way over staffed.....
This should be a object lesson on how NOT to do the job....
They blowed up real good. Too bad they were ours.

-it is sad. But it is also very, very dumb.
These guys should have known better. I’ve never been up close to an EOD, but I would know better then to be banging away on it like they were... and it can’t be the first time they’ve seen EOD’s. They are after all, in Iraq.

Aren’t we considering the Iraqi “volunteer militia” as “ours”?
I always considered anyone with a weapon pointed in the same direction as mine - “one of us”......”ours”....
We couldn’t communicate well with the “yards”....but most of them were more reliable in a fight than some of the ARVN assignees to I Corps.
The “yards” were fighting on their home turf — family neighborhoods — much like the Iraqi “volunteer militia”, so I suspect they may be poorly trained but properly motivated.

He relates what encourages many young men to join radical muslim groups. It wasn’t what what I thought it would be.
