Aren’t we considering the Iraqi “volunteer militia” as “ours”?
I always considered anyone with a weapon pointed in the same direction as mine - “one of us”......”ours”....
We couldn’t communicate well with the “yards”....but most of them were more reliable in a fight than some of the ARVN assignees to I Corps.
The “yards” were fighting on their home turf — family neighborhoods — much like the Iraqi “volunteer militia”, so I suspect they may be poorly trained but properly motivated.

Arent we considering the Iraqi volunteer militia as ours? For so long as we keep paying them in US green dollars, at least. Once the changeover to Iraqi Dinars begins, all bets are off.
