Report: Iran-Syria tension Over Investigation Of Mughniya Assassination
Arab intelligence sources have reported on a “quiet crisis” between Tehran and Damascus based on the investigation of the assassination of senior Hizbullah commander Imad Mughniya.
The sources said that Iran is perturbed because the investigation has as of yet turned up nothing, and even suspects the involvement of the Syrian intelligence apparatuses.

Seven Kuwaiti Shi’ites to face trial over Mughniyeh eulogy
By ASSOCIATED PRESS
KUWAIT CITY
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Seven Kuwaiti Shi’ites will face trial for allegedly sending a statement to Lebanese and Iranian TV stations eulogizing a slain Hezbollah militant, their lawyer said Tuesday.
Attorney Abdul-Karim bin Haidar said the prosecution charged the men with “spreading false news about the situation in the country,” by sending that statement which “weakened the position of the state abroad.”
He said his clients deny any connection to the statement, which was broadcast by Hezbollah’s Al-Manar television in Lebanon, and Iran’s state-run Arabic channel Al-Alam.
Several of the seven, who include four former legislators and one cleric, attended a eulogy for Mughniyeh in Kuwait shortly after he was killed in a car bomb in Syria in February.”

“High alert to peak over the weekend”
By YAAKOV KATZ
ARTICLE SNIPPET: “The high level of alert at Israeli missions and institutions around the world will reach its peak this weekend, as Pessah begins and Jews gather across the globe for celebrations.
Terror alert declared in Sinai
Senior officials said the defense establishment’s preparations for a possible Hizbullah attack in response to the February assassination of arch-terrorist Imad Mughniyeh in Damascus would be at its highest over the holiday.
The Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) has in recent weeks completed beefing up security personnel on Israeli civilian aircraft and in Israeli embassies and consulates.
Ahead of the holiday, the Counter-Terrorism Bureau in the Prime Minister’s Office issued a severe travel advisory warning of an “imminent” attack against Israelis vacationing in Sinai. On Tuesday, Egyptian security officials said they were hunting a number of terror cells in Sinai that were planning to attack a tourist site. Reportedly, gunmen atop four pick-up trucks plan to attack a tourist resort.
“The warnings need to be taken seriously, since the threats against Israeli tourists in Sinai are real and serious,” Defense Minister Ehud Barak said Tuesday in Sderot, where he laid the cornerstone for a new Elbit Systems factory. In the afternoon, Barak decided to impose a full closure on the West Bank starting Friday night and lasting until after Pessah on Sunday, April 27.
According to the travel advisory, recent intelligence has revealed plans by terrorists to target Israelis - 10,000 of whom are expected to travel there - on the Sinai beaches during Pessah. Travelers who have yet to cross the border are encouraged to cancel their plans, and those currently in Egypt are advised to return to Israel immediately.”

We seem to be nearing the seventh war (seven being a nice round number). Only seven of nine missiles were fired on 7/9 - - - 7m-(9) - - - strange using photoshop to paste in the discrepancy knowing it would be detected. Some would like to believe all our enemies are that stupid, but they are not. It was the IRGC media arm that released the photo, so it was very purposeful.
As Gates said yesterday, a lot a signaling going on out there.
There is no distinction in their minds between the U.S. and Israel. An attack on one is as the same as the other . . .

Iran: Cancerous Israel to be destroyed by radiation
In letter of condolence to Hizbullah secretary-general following Imad Mugniyahs assassination, Revolutionary Guards commander says, In the future we will bear witness to the disappearance of this cancerous bacterium, Israel, by the radiation of Hizbullah fighters
Dudi Cohen
General Mohammad Ali Jaafari, commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, has sent a letter of condolence to Hizbullah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah following the assassination of the organizations senior commander Imad Mugniyah, saying he believed the cancerous bacterium called Israel would vanish soon, the Iranian news agency Fars reported Monday.
According to Jaafari, I am convinced that with every day that passes Hizbullahs power increases, and in the near future we will bear witness to the disappearance of this cancerous bacterium, Israel, by the radiation of Hizbullahs fighters.
In the letter comforting Nasrallah over the death of the shahid (martyr) Mugniyah, Jaafari wrote, There is no doubt that the death of this loyal fighter will strengthen the determination of all the revolutionary and warrior Muslims in their battle against the Zionist regime, and particularly the determination of those fighting alongside this shahid.
Mugniyah was considered close to the Revolutionary Guards, and particularly to the Quds Force, which was recently designated by the United States as a supporter of terror. Together they trained Hizbullah fighters in Lebanon and Iran and planned terror attacks worldwide.
Upon hearing of Mugniyahs death, the Iranian leaders, headed by supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, sent cards and letters of condolence to Nasrallah.
Their message was clear: Mugniyahs death would only strengthen Hizbullah, and he would be replaced by hundreds and thousands of other fighters ready to sacrifice their lives for the sake of the battle against Israel.
The commander of the Revolutionary Guards and other Iranian officials, including Vice President Perviz Daudi, took part Sunday in a memorial ceremony for Mugniyah at a Tehran mosque.
On Tuesday, the Tehran University will hold a ceremony in memory of the assassinated commander, which will be attended by Hizbullah and Islamic Jihad representatives and ambassadors from Islamic countries.
On Thursday, Nasrallah threatened to fight Israel anywhere in the world.
Israel entered the war in July 2006, he said. The Zionist dubbed it the sixth war although senior Israeli strategists called it the first war. All of Israel, from the right to the left, agreed that it lost the war. The Winograd report did not manage to conceal this the hundreds of failures and deficiencies, the lack of political and military leadership. Does the Winograd report not say this?
The Hizbullah chief said his group was ready for open war with Israel if the Jewish state wanted it.

Israel to complain at UNSC over statement by Iranian official
Feb. 18, 2008
JPost.com Staff , THE JERUSALEM POST
The Foreign Ministry instructed the Israeli delegation to the United Nations, Monday, to submit an official complaint to the president of the United Nations Security Council (currently Panamas ambassador to the UN), asking him to publicly condemn Iran over the statement of the Revolutionary Guards commander, General Muhammad Ali Jafari, who said I am convinced that with every passing day Hizbullahs might is increasing and in the near future, we will witness the disappearance of this cancerous growth Israel by means of the Hizbullah fighters radiation [therapy].
The complaint will protest Jafaris statement as expressing hope for the destruction of a fellow member state in the UN, as well as a statement which is anti-Semitic and expressing the worst kind of racism.

Feb. 12 will mark the one-year anniversary of theassassination of Imad Mughniyah, one of Hezbollahs top military commanders. The anniversary certainly will be met with rejoicing in Tel Aviv and Washington in addition to all the Israelis he killed, Mughniyah also had a significant amount of American blood on his hands. But the date will be met with anger and renewed cries for revenge from Hezbollahs militants, many of whom were recruited, trained or inspired by Mughniyah.

WARDEN MESSAGE: INCREASING SEXUAL ASSAULTS IN JORDAN
U.S. Embassy Amman released the following Warden Message on February 11:
In anticipation of the anniversary of the death of a senior Hezbollah leader, the U.S. Embassy reminds Americans that credible information indicates terrorist groups seek to continue attacks against U.S. interests in the Middle East and North Africa. Terrorist actions may include bombings, hijackings, hostage taking, kidnappings, and assassinations. Terrorists do not distinguish between official and civilian targets. Increased security at official U.S. facilities has led terrorists and their sympathizers to seek softer targets such as public transportation, residential areas, and public areas where people congregate, including restaurants, hotels, clubs, and shopping areas. Terrorists may target movie theaters, liquor stores, bars, casinos, or any similar type of establishment, regardless of whether they are owned and operated by host country nationals. Due to varying degrees of security at all such locations, Americans should be particularly vigilant when visiting these establishments.
Americans traveling abroad should regularly monitor the U.S. Embassys website as well as the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs website www.travel.state.gov, where the current Worldwide Caution, Travel Warnings, Travel Alerts, and Country Specific Information can be found. The U.S. Embassy also encourages U.S. citizens to review “A Safe Trip Abroad” found at http://travel.state.gov/travel/tips/safety/safety_1747.html, which includes valuable security information for those living and traveling abroad.
