I have been a big fan of gridlock.
Huckabee winning a few primaries would be another wonderful case of gridlock!
To: MNJohnnie
I think it is winner-take-all for the R’s in VA, and proportional for the D’s.
I don’t know about the other two.

Well, then, what does he have to do to satisfy you...he went to CPAC; he's said he'll appoint conservative judges and there is no doubt that he's been stalwart and steadfast in winning the global war on terror and Al Qieda...I realize most here hate him, but he's our standard bearer. There's and old saying: He may be a SOB but he's OUR SOB and besides, while he's not a Reagan (because that mold was broken) he may be an Eisenhower and I can live with that. Though a moderate, Ike was a pretty fair president when it got down to it.

Obama is ready to wow us and make us want to vote for him.
To: MNJohnnie
Virginia is WTO on the first ballot. Delegates are free to vote their preference on subsequent ballots. At least that is my understanding.
Don’t know about MD and DC.

What’s your take on that? Are they voting across party lines in support or more to influence who the eventual nominee is?
If it’s in support, ouch.

Yeah I am coming around to think your way. Maybe Obama is an empty headed Leftist but he was not the one selling US Missile technology to the Chinese in 1995-96 for campaign contributions.
Obama is wacko Socialists. The Clinton's are stealth Socialists and totally corrupt. In a choice between the two, Obama is probably less dangerous.

I won’t disagree with that, but it does present certain problems for this fall.
