Did not see a live thread to keep track of how things were going.

It's not going to matter, take a look about Los Angeles and how many other places with the racial friction is Hispanic and Black. The "Hispanics" in VA or MD may be from Puerto Rico or Dominican Republic or Cuba. The "important ones are in Texas, California, Arizona, New Mexico, etc, etc. They won't be voting for Obama. They aren't going to forget years and years of cultural antagonism for the sake of Democrat party unity.
I get it. Our candidates suck LONG and HARD... so we’re counting on manipulating the electorate by somehow predicting which one on the other side will be the LEAST electable — and then rooting for them?
What a joke.
Am I the only one who sees this whole attitude as a fool’s errand?
Meaning.. that includes the SD’s for Hillary? He STILL leads?
I have a plan for him to get us without making any substantive move against his “base”. It won’t get us enthusiastic but it would probably keep us from staying home — which is my goal, since I want to elect conservatives to congress.
I haven’t finished the plan yet, it involves making consessions on the margins on the hot issues. Here’s the rough draft:
1) oppose FEDERAL FUNDING of Embryonic stem cell research, on “fiscal conservative” grounds — the investment isn’t worth scarce tax dollars given the advances in other treatments.
2) Defer to the military leadership regarding Gitmo. If they want it closed, close it, otherwise leave it open. Conservatives would have a hard time objecting to giving the military control over it’s POWs, but the military is already beginning to turn against Gitmo, and whoever McCain puts in charge will probably share his view.
3) Promise not to do anything beyond a 2-year reprieve for illegals, leaving any comprehensive reform until after the next election — to fulfil his already made pledge to wait until there is widespread consensus that the border security is taken care of.
4) Promise to sign any legislation passed by congress limiting campaign finance reform, since it primarily effects congress. They won’t pass anything, so he won’t be giving anything up, but offering to sign it means he won’t be standing in the way of fixing it, and conservatives can at least TRY to get people elected who will fix the law in the next election, giving us ANOTHER reason to get out and vote.
5) Give us the VP slot. The moderates/independents will understand the need to “appease” us, and we’ll have a leg up if he gets sick or quits after one term.
“CNN now saying that Obama is ahead of Clinton in the Delegate count!”
Ding dong! the witch is dead. which old witch? the wicked witch! Ding dong! the wicked witch is dead.
yes.
yea I saw those pics earlier today. Made me ill.
It isn't simply math. Based on the remaining states. Which include some split states where McCain will get some delegates unless Huckabee wins with 64% or so of the vote, McCain gets his 300+ delegate way before Huckabee gets his 900+.
Hillary going to talk!
Her Thighness speaking on CNN now.
Got you covered.
brown ole crusty PIAP.
CNN said that they are about to report ANOTHER resignation in the Clinton camp!
It’s probably Bill.
>The Wilder effect? Democrats will say they are going to vote for a black guy then go into the polling booth and pull the lever for an Repb?<
Keep in mind they have to ask for a Republican ballot to do that.
FWIW, my county went almost 67.5% for Huckabee. I’m not sure if that’s good or bad :^/
Hillary only won here with 53% of the Dem vote. A lot of the kids went for Obama.
They had covered a section of the Prince William parkway down by Potomac Mills Mall — probably over 100 signs in a few-block section.
I think Hillary is proof that there has been inbreeding in the Rodham family line.
Whats up with the Mexican Midget?
