Huckabee Challenges Washington Caucus Results
FoxNews ^ | February 10, 2008 | Serafin Gomez

Mike Huckabee is challenging the results of the Washington state Republican caucuses, his campaign announced Sunday, after accusing the state party chairman of calling the election for John McCain before all the votes were counted.

The campaign will be pursuing a full investigation, including sending in lawyers to join those already on the scene in the state, officials told FOX News.

Maybe Huckabee should see if David Boies is available—he has expertise from Florida in 2000. Just as long as he doesn’t get snippy about it.

They probably don’t want Huckabee to get THREE out of THREE, because the all-important MOMENTUM will help him win Virginia, and they don’t want the turth to get out until after then.

I believe, they will stall as long as they can. The later voters find out that Huckabee might have won, yet a THIRD primary, the better it will be for McCain.

I loath both McCain & Huckabee - but there is no excuse not to count all the votes in a close election. This was way too close to call with 13% uncounted.

It is also worth noting that BOTH of them combined didn’t have 50% of the vote. Says a lot about the Republican nominees!

“Last night MSNBC had this banner...

***BREAKING NEWS: State GOP chairman declares McCain winner in Washington, AP says***

in their website for a short time...

I posted it in the Washington thread but I wondered why the GOP chair was announcing it and not the state election folk..

Did not seem Kosher to me..”

THAT is very strange, and certainly NOT Kosher. It seems they are all in on it.

This is such a total waste of time.
Huckabee's not going anywhere and we all know it.

Is there some kind of liberal movement going on in the RNC? They would love to get rid of the true conservatives.

I heard many pundits talking about how they think the social conservatives will no longer be a factor in the GOP. Wishful thinking??

“Huckabee’s not going anywhere and we all know it.”

Actually we don’t.

This unspins Karl Rove’s bogus delegate “math”:

Maybe it says (1) Governor Romney spent millions of dollars deceiving conservatives, and (2) Congressman Paul makes a lot of sense.

I respectfully disagree. I didn’t take a serious look at Huckabee until after Hunter endorsed him. Since then I have been impressed. I do believe the MSM has worked against his character. And I do believe he is the more conservative candidate remaining. McCain will not get a vote from me; Huckabee would. If nothing else, Huckabee makes for an excellent vote of “no confidence” for McCain. That, in itself, is not a total waste of time. Go, Mike, go.

Governor Huckabee can still win the nomination outright:

Based on the delegate numbers in the article, Huckabee needs to win 52.8% of the remaining delegates in order to prevent from McCain locking up the nomination on the 1st ballot. This is a far cry from the impossible situation that the MSM has been putting out.

You will be happy to know then that the young GOP conservatives here in the South (TN) will be voting for Obama...

They dont like McCain..

Realistically, Huck really needs to win at least 60% because some of the delegates for Romney and Fred could defect to McCain. There is enough people not happy with McCain, it could happen though now it is basically a two person race.

Looks like they didn’t INTEND to count all of the votes (and Huckabee was only about 200 votes behind).

Huckabee definitely won 2 out of 3 primary states, and they didn’t want it to be THREE out of THREE, because that gives Huckabee tons of MOMENTUM for the next primary.

I predict that the actual votes will never be counted. Originals will be shredded and new uncounted votes will appear in the chairs car’s trunk. We have learned much as a party from the dims.

Actually we don’t.

Yes we do.
Even if by some freakish event he gets the nomination ( which won't happen), he's unelectable.
