And by doing so they will destroy their own party.

I fear Obama because I like him.

Yeah, it is even scarier in person. I met Obama a few years ago and he was probably the nicest politician I ever met. Talked to me for a good 5 minutes, I was drawn in.

I couldn't believe it. I can generally say from meeting him that I like the guy on a personal level. Politically he scares me to death.

Here is what I would LOVE to see. Obama goes to the convention in the lead. However, the superdelegates give Clinton their support thus making her the winner.

That would alienate the black vote more than anything! Blacks would then MAYBE wake up and realize the Dems don’t care about them and only use them!!

After Super Tuesday the popular vote was:

Clinton: 50.2% (7,347,971)

Obama: 49.8% (7,294,851)

A difference of only 53,000 votes.  Tonight Obama "gained" 107,644 and now has more of the popular votes than Clinton.  As I recall the Democrats threw an absolute conniption fit, nervous ticks that are still apparent today, in 2000 over Gore winning the popular vote.

Anyone think this may wind up in the USSC someday? If it does, is there enough popcorn on the planet?

Folks,

Clinton’s crying aside, Obama’s nomination would be very bad for the GOP (and the USA) in the general election. I’m hoping that Hillary will catch up, but I doubt it. She is the easier candidate to beat. Remember this — CLINTON NEVER GOT 50% OF THE NATIONAL VOTE IN 2 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS. Hillary’s will be even less. She’s easy to beat.

An Obama nomination on the other hand will be tough to beat.

This is especially true now that Conservatives are split over John McCain. Even as he is reaching out to us, many of us are spitting at the hand that he reached out for the simple reason that he needs to be PUNISHED.

All the good things he did in the past -— Being a stalwart Reagan foot soldier, being staunchly pro-life, voting for every single Bush judge and justice appointee, defending Bush’s policy in Iraq even when it was unpopular, etc. are FORGOTTEN or GLOSSED OVER in order to focus on his heresies.

Obama is just a more charming version of Hillary ( no difference between him and her policy-wise ). Notice that the Democrat race isn’t about issues the way the GOP’s is, but about IDENTITY politics ( i.e., who is a woman, who is black, which ethnic group voted for who, etc. ). That’s a portent of an Obama administration folks.

Unfortunately what I read in this forum regarding the response to McCain’s good will gesture is disheartening. It seems like a lot of conservatives actually WANT TO LOSE and ARE WILLING TO JUST LET THE SOCIALISTS ROMP IN ORDER TO MAKE A ONE-TIME STATEMENT.

Many don’t realize this -— Obama’s record is TO THE LEFT of Hillary. In Illinois, he even refused to support the BORN ALIVE INFACT ACT which would require healthcare givers to use all means to protect the life of infants born through boached abortions.

That kind of future is staring at us at the Federal level if Obama becomes President folks.

MAYBE wake up and realize the Dems don’t care about them and only use them!!

They might be mad, well, actually furious, but, they'd still fall in line, they would never give up their God-given freebie rewards bribes for votes in the democrat party.

Note that never did the MSM mention Hunter. Why? They
put forward the LOSERS they want nominated.

She’s easy to beat.

No one has the crookedness and corruption of the clinton machine. If she gets the nomination, it would be impossible to beat her. Impossible.

Heresies like...amnesty for illegals, including his collusion with Ted Kennedy, Lindsey Graham, and company. And I'm sure we can go even further back to things like the Keating Five scandal.

It seems like a lot of conservatives actually WANT TO LOSE and ARE WILLING TO JUST LET THE SOCIALISTS ROMP IN ORDER TO MAKE A ONE-TIME STATEMENT.

Regardless of who wins, the Socialists will still romp. The Democrat controlled Congress will walk all over a RINO like McCain!

Both McCain and Huckabee are unelectable. The Republican turn out was very low across all the states. Looks like rough times for conservatives.

As of now, McCain has won Washington:

Plus Louisiana was a squeaker. Much different than the Obama blowouts over Hillary.

An Obama nomination on the other hand will be tough to beat.

It is the worst thing that could happen. Obama would in the Presidency, simple as that. If the scumbag Clinton machine could not take the guy down, how is the inept GOP supposed to? Get used to it folks. "President Obama". Rolls off the tongue, dont it?

Not just that, but losing the nomination now does NOT, in fact, destroy the Clinton machine. It leaves them to fight another day. Better than Hillary win the nomination, and THEN get crushed. That would be the end of it right there. But losing the nomination? Still leaves you able to win it again later, just look at history over the last 50 years or so.

Obama cannot be stopped. As others have posted, he is the most likeable candidate in a long time. Americans choose their candidates based on Likability, thats really the bottom line. We are about to have the least qualified person EVER to run for the Whitehouse, and he is going to walk right in because the people "like him".

I dont have anything personally against the guy, but seeing him win would tell me more about the sad state of the electorate than anything else.

Kind of ironic, the Liberals have always complained about the stupidity of the Voter, well, THEIR guy is about to win, based on that very stupidity.
