having either obama or hillary CIC, is just stupid Inevitability can be "stupid" sometimes. The reality is that in spite of all this venting, most conservatives will cast their votes for McCain in the end. However, it will not matter. Why? Because conservatives will not work their asses off for a man who has arrogantly condescended to them for at least the past eight years. Who will canvas the neighborhoods, man phone banks & write the checks? Do you imagine that "committed moderates" will do the job for McCain?

That percentage is so low only because they didn't poll the vast and powerful political pundits in the overwhelming majority here on FReeRepublic. Calm down. ;)

We can vote . . . for anyone other than McCain on the Presidential seat, including a democrat in the general election. Vote for an Obamabeast? I assumed you were conservative.

This needs to be said over and over.
Get familiar with your senators and reps and vote good solid conservatives in.
It’s the ONLY way things will work out well.

Three Likely Scenarios:
1 - Most Conservatives do not support McCain = McCain Loses
2 - Majority of Conservatives support McCain = McCain loses
3 - Almost all conservatives support McCain = McCain loses
In any case, get ready for something like the 1936 presidential results.

I will vote Republican in November. Still hoping I won’t have to hold my nose with both hands, but will still vote against the DEMS.
After hearing Huckabee’s speech, he sure sounds better than McCAin but I certainly do not want him either! Would be nice if he and others took just enough delegates to put McCain out and make room for Romney to get back in. Guess I am dreaming.
To: Maceman
I’m with you on not voting for mclame, but virtually none of the republican reps or senators are conservative either. I’m in favor of kicking them all out and starting over. The only thing these clowns understand is losing their cush jobs. The entire republican establishment needs to get a real job, if any of them could. I’m going to vote for the Constitution candidate, whoever that is.
