I agree with you.
Our Oregon Primary is in May.
When is yours.
If the election is decided by then do you think we should just vote for (in our primaries) who we all originally wanted to send a message to the country/GOP/MSM???

You might be right. At our caucus we signed in first thing, indicating our preferred candidate. There was no discussion during the caucus regarding the pros and cons of the candidates. Unless they are going to figure out the votes off of the the delegate sign-up sheets by cross referencing the names with the precinct sign-in, there is no other way they can come up with a number of votes. I do not think that it is true that Romney cannot gain any delegates from the process. There were a lot of people at the caucus that voted for Romney. And what about all the people who sent in their ballots before Romney suspended his effort? Are their votes just tossed out for the primaries?
To: ShandaLear
You could tell that during the news yesterday when they reported on the people attending their respective speeches.
There was huge throngs of people turned away from the Obama venue because of not enough space, but the people at the Hillary site were lukewarm at best.

Ah, Hunter! If only...
The crotchety old fellow who was the sole McCain vote explained it this way: "Military Veteran". Hunter could have gotten his vote AND the rest of us who split between Huck and Romney.

The delegates are supposed to be 51% from the primary and 49% from the caucuses (or is it vice-verse?). So, today, the delegates that were "elected" will be for a given candidate for at least the split second they said whom they were for today, but that could change as soon as they were "elected". There is nothing keeping them from changing when they go to the county convention or the state convention. they can do whatever they want.
Romney could get some delegates from the primary votes, but from the caucus? I don't know. At the caucus, my vote for Romney was never registered and my writing Romney on the sign-in sheet will never mean anything as far as I can tell.....

I heard a blip not certain if I heard right.
Seems the turn out was so huge in Seattle that some areas ran out of ballot/paper to cast votes?
What was that all about?

How in the world do you see Huckabee as a chance to derail McCain? Huckabee is working with McCain. The PAC, “Trust Huckabee”, is financed by Carl Lindner, a member of the Keating Five, McCain’s friend. Huckabee will be turning his delegates over to McCain.
I should add that Huckabee is hanging on because he thinks he’s getting the VP slot, but he’s not. He was asked about it on tv and said that it’s a position that no one really wants, but that no one turns down. Not true, but indicative of how he feels.
