His results show that Hillary is getting all the single females...he won’t get past the gate without them.

I meant the Clinton back room. Today somebody called Rush or Sean, said she was from Utah, and polls showed Obama leading McCain there. Most conservative state in the union. Hopefully that is garbage but....?

Wondering how Obama will do in TX. That is the huge one for Hillary. Hispanic to Black about 3:1.

“Look, a piece of dog poop with an R in front of it. Let’s vote for it!”

Anybody remember Limbaugh’s bake sale in Fort Collins?

There are a lot of us. Let’s get together a grassroots write-in campaign.

TX is the big one for Hillary. Dick Morris laid out a pretty hopeful scenario for Obama though. He will do well in other states and he has time to do rallies in TX which have brought good gains for him. Morris characterized TX as being like a general election for the Dems with big turnouts.

I have said for five years at least that Hillary won't even get the nomination. I'm sticking with that prediction. I have also said that any Pubbie could beat Hillary in the general but I never counted on McCain. I'm almost certain he can't beat her.

Obama gets the black vote, and 20% of the white Rat vote, and less than zero of the hispanic vote.

Hillary gets the fat, white, cheated-on female vote plus the Hispanics.

Neither gets the NASCAR rat vote.

NASCAR votes for McCrazy.

I agree with the sentiments of some on this thread who fail to see this endorsement as unexpected.

What I find rip-roaringly hilarious are all the people who are shocked, shocked that Fred Thompson is an actual politician.

Just what did so many of the erstwhile FredHeads expect him to do? Was their perception of him really -that- rosy?

We are at war. IMO we do not have the luxury of sitting on our hands for this election. The choice is now between a man who will continue to wage that war and two men (yeah, that was deliberate) who will not.

If this were 1992 all over again, we could afford the luxury of a protest vote, or a failure to vote.

But we really don't have that luxury now. Upwards of 4,000 of our finest have died in Iraq. Far more are profoundly injured and will carry that burden for us for the rest of their lives.

I cannot and will not allow that sacrifice to be in vain.

Wow. These words really rocked me, because I was very much set on skipping the Presidential vote and just voting down ticket. Reading your post made me stop to consider exactly what *is* at stake, not only SCOTUS, which is a huge concern, but the lives of men and women who have sacrificed everything to keep me safe and free here at home.

Part of me wants to protest because almost every election, it's "hold your nose and vote" business as usual, and I think that has led to the troubles we are seeing within the GOP today. But you are right, we don't have that luxury.

Thank you for your post.

I won't betray the troops by voting for an enemy of the Constitution that they have sworn an oath to defend from enemies foreign and domestic.

This is your man.

That is the ONLY thing that could possibly make me consider voting for McCain — Thompson as his VP pick.

“That is the question I have been asking myself for weeks.

It makes absolutely no sense.”

Glad I’m not alone in this. I know in the earlier races, Democrats or Independents, could vote, but why did McCain do so well on Super Tuesday?

I’m even thinking some kind of voter fraud, not that I’m blaming McCain personally, but the illegal immigration organizers would certainly prefer McCain.

Maybe I’m off the wall, but the thought did pass my mind.

Thank you both...

Would there were more like you two who realized that there are some things more important this time around than their egos and the "purity" of their vote

According to the Texas SOS site apparently Thompson, Romney, Giuliani & Hunter are still listed on the ballot.

Here is an explanation of the Texas code covering ballot printing and mailing at the SOS site (the Texas primary is March 4th:

“Saturday, January 19, 2008 (45th day before primary election day)

Early voting ballots and accompanying materials shall be mailed to applicants not later than the 7th calendar day after the later of (a) the date the mail ballot application is accepted or (b) the date the ballots become available for mailing. If the 7th day is earlier than the 45th day before election day, the ballots must be mailed not later than the 38th day before election day. (Sec. 86.004).”

You have hit the nail on the head. Go visit Walter Reed. Go walk through Arlington. Go visit a young widow and tell me how anyone here could hand the keys to the WH and the position of CinC to Hillary or Barack HUSSIEN Obama.

Hillary and Obama are socialists and communists at heart and everyone here knows that. They both “worship” the likes of Saul Alinsky. These are the very types of people that Reagan dedicated his life to defeat, and people here want to help to get them elected? I am flabbergasted.

See my tagline! It says it all for me!
