The whole primary process is a mess. Every state has it?s own rules and many are jockeying for a stronger position. Since it?s a party matter, the party needs to step in and establish a consistent set of rules for all states.

In our dreams. Talked to a person in the know about just this and what he said was for this to happen, the RNC would have to finance it for all the states. The elites would never give up that kind of control either.

We should really make noise about this though because it was all changed this year and has disenfranchised half the country.

Another thing is states giving Winner Take All delegates to someone who gets 30% of the vote is outrageous. And states get to decide that too. You should have to get 50% (majority) IMO. Think how different this race would be right now. Actually the Dems are more fair than us.

No, FDT’s Ford-Baker ties showed he was not the man many on the forum thought. GWB and McPain are taking the GOP over the cliff, and it may never recover. Ruth Bader Ginsburg must be elated now.

Fred endorsed McCain, whom I can’t vote for.
Hunter endorsed Huckster, whom I can vote for — at least he’s a socon.

There’s 2 turd RINOs left, at least one of the turds is avidly prolife and pro 2A. Plus, he’s a freeper.

Who knows ? It’s like nursery school just let out around here.

You noticed too?

Spitting and biting and throwing tantrums. It's scary.

Also FDT opposed Reagan (as did Goldwater) in 1976. And he opposed him in 1980 too until Reagan had the nomination cornered.

This one though, was really manipulated by the elites from the beginning to permit the select fewest voter participants and that is not good

You got that exactly right. Human Events has an article on a Soros backed group helping McCain,. McCain is a vengeful man, who would sell out our Republic in a heartbeat to be President. He has a power lust that is no less evil and no less strong that Hillary's.

McCain, Hillary and Oboma are hell bent on Amnesty. With McCain, our GOP in Congress would feel obligated to pass it. With Hillary, at least the GOP would have a spine.

The only thing that can stop Amnesty is the Republicans in Congress.

p.s. I supported Fred and his endorsement means nothing to me. McCain will NEVER get my vote.

I like the sentiment, but I don’t really feel comfortable with “the next Reagan” business. I know, I know, I do it too. LOL

We need “the next Jindal” or the next whomever, who isn’t trying to be someone else, but is a conservative leader. Know what I mean?

Don’t know about this guy yet, but from what little I’ve heard, he sounds promising. Cross your fingers!

McPain is now in the role of Goldwater after CA in 1964, and Huckabee is in the role of the liberal Scranton (who is still very liberal as I understand it). Yet people keep saying how “conservative” PA is or “could be”. It never happens.

I had hoped since he’d waited this long, that he wasn’t going to endorse McCain...friends or not...and I wish he just wouldn't’t have endorsed anyone.

Did you expect Fred NOT to endorse the person who will be the nominee? At this point, McCain has the votes, and no one has the chance to catch up to him. Fred's just looking out over the political landscape and seeing the reality on the ground, not what he might wish it to be.

No matter how it plays out, I have hope! I believe in the resiliency of the country way more than any of these politicians. At least, on my good days I do. :D

Jindal has not been in office for a month. It is way too early to evaluate him.
