I feel like we’re talking on a park bench while watching the children play.

Y'know, tomorrows their future.

But for me, its just another day.

I understand the folks who won’t vote for McCain and I understand the ones who will. What I don’t understand is all the name-calling and just plain viciousness that’s going around. How in the world does this get healed (besides having one side completely surrender to the other, which I don’t see quite happening yet.)?

Oh well, maybe I’m overthinking this. Though I’m sure there’s some around here who think I’m doing the opposite. LOL

Not quite.

Brownback entered the race January 20, 2007.
Hunter entered the race January 25, 2007.

It could be argued that Hunter and the rest took away Brownback’s support.

Do your research.

I know, and I don’t like it at all. Senators are nebulous gas bags.

Do you realize there are millions of us out here who still have not even voted? We get John McCain and are completely disenfranchised at the same time. He sought and campaigned for anyone but Republicans and now you want people like us to vote for him?

Let him and all his "endorsers" go seek the votes of his liberals, moderates and independents. Leave conservatives who wish to remain disenfranchised alone.

FT is a rational, reasonable person who made a rational, reasonable decision. Some may not like it, but it tells you more about them than about FT.

All you little spoiled brats in here need to read shrinkermd"s post over - and over - and over >

>......the marxists and commies are banging at D.C.’s gate. We have to swallow hard and keep them out.

Leni, leni. I feel your pain. :shakes head:
I’ve seen you flit from one candidate to another, always saying this one, this time will be different; that this one isn’t the best, but it the best that we have.
You must have been a cheerleader, at least in your heart - and I believe that you speak from the heart, but these people are all - every one - going to betray you.

We need to consolidate what is left, and keep in power those good people left in Congress because the executive branch is lost. - and will stay so until the GOP returns from its mad dash leftward - If it can.
Work at the local and state levels to elect better Representatives to Congress.
And that is not nihilism, that is facing the reality of the coming 30 state loss in November, and the reasons for that loss.
Which include the fact that the GOP elite may not even care about temporary losses in power in order to permanently change the agenda of the GOP and leave the conservative movement in the dustbin of political history.

>the marxists and commies are banging at D.C.’s gate.

Those people are already here. - and McCain/Kennedy was designed to keep them here and make them able to legally outvote you and I.

Whatever is being hammered out behind closed doors includes that 900 gorilla in the living room of America, as well,
and voting for the GOP at this stage is not going to help one whit when the very architect of that bill is your current candidate. - but you go ahead and good luck to you. - I mean that.

You’re preaching to the choir, fergodssakes.

Yeah right. I guess I'm imagining the multiple posts that assert that conservatives must fall in line behind the politician who has done more than anyone to undermine everything they believe in and to tear down all they've worked for. A guy whose efforts to gut the Bill of Rights were funded by George Soros. You betcha.

Yes, like children, they tend to stray if not watched. I think that goes for both parties.

Fred Thompson also help get Roberts on the SC.

Fred Thompson has every right to endorse anyone he pleases for POTUS. Thompson and McCain have been friends for years and that was never a secret.

OH please, quit fear mongering. Unless both died at the exact same moment, there would still be someone in line between her and the presidency.
