I’ve thought that too. But I think society is different today than in the late 70s/80s. However, I’m willing to chance it and hope for a Reagan like leader.

Don’t get me wrong, I love this place and reading/posting here as been incredibly informative. BUt I’m not a one or twoissue voter. And I don’t expect perfection fromm anyone including a candidate/politician. I think it’s ok to narrow down choices as long as it is best for the country rather than individual issues/concerns. And each person has to vote their conscience and sometimes me voting my conscience isn’t the same as another voting his/her conscience. If that makes any sense?

“Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Please tell me it’s a hoax!”

Further evidence that the Freepers are believing a huge lie about John McCain’s supposed liberalism. Conservative after conservative are lining up behind John McCain and some Freepers are acting like children.

Why are so many surprised...I’m not.

The insiders back the insiders.

Huckabee is not and that is why Hunter backed him.

No, not at all. He wants everyone to get behind the candidate and defeat the dems. I hate McCain but the idea of actively or passively giving over a vote to elect either Obama or Hillary is the same as giving allegiance to the party of traitors and is a bigger betrayal to the constitution than voting for McCain.

He was supposed to hold on to his principles, and not endorse, even in a slight way, anyone who was left, even Mitt.

Why? because you said so?
You sound like a baby

Since you seem to know something about Fred and McCain’s relationship let me ask you something.

Would Fred have an impact on McCains’ policies if he were VP? Would you and other conservatives support McLiberal if Fred were the VP?

My answer depends on the answer to the former.

You are going to hear that Fred was promised something to endorse him, pretty soon there is going to be nothing left to promise.

I seriously doubt it. The time to trade endorsements for favors would have been before Florida, or at the very least before Super Tuesday. I think it's extremely likely that Crist won promises from McCain for his work in Florida; Giuliani probably exacted promises for endorsing before Tuesday.

All endorsements now are simply after-the-fact, close ranks around the nominee statements. Unfortunately McCain probably doesn't need anyone's help now (until November, when he may lose).

I think it makes perfect sense. Your vote doesn’t belong to a party or an online forum even. It belongs to you to do with as you wish. People will have an opinion on the choices you make, but that’s just how people are. lol

No vote for the gop candidate is the same as voting for Hillary or Obama. Even the worst republican RINO is better for the survival of our constitution than any dem dead or alive. If you don’t vote then you might as well put the Elect Hillary bumper sticker on your vehicle.

Weird, how some rationalize these things, kinda like battered wife syndrome? So Fred is saying "stay with your abuser to keep the family together"? LOL So absurd!

"We only keep on hittin' ya 'cause ya keep on openin' ya damned mouth and makin' us all mad an' stuff, Conservatives honey."

Conservatives have played increasingly brutalized Tina to the Republican party's Ike for the last twenty years, by this point.

They continually insist, haughtily, that "we can win just fine without all you disgusting, plebian little social cons, you know."

Fine, then. You all just go right ahead and show us how that's done, then.

No more. No more.

Fred is obviously not the man I thought he was. I’m sorry that I ever even thought of voting for him. I’m glad he left the race.

That is exactly what I said. And that I want my money back!!!

This makes me feel sick to my stomach.

:(

“calling on the party to “close ranks” behind the presumed nominee”

What else should he do at this point?
