'This mess' maybe caused by not having a dog in the hunt. Fred may have jumped in too late. Now, moderates win the day. And WHO the heck is voting for McCain - all of the pro-amnesty illegals? The socialized health care crowd? The global warming alarmists? I just don't get that one.

Over? OVER? Not by a long shot. We'll just have to get 'em next time around.

Rush did not start on the attack until it was too late. Then he just seemed desperate. He should have laid out each of these men’s records in detail to inform the listeners. Instead, the dittoheads had little inkling who Hunter was.

“Actually, I’ve seen it play out among the RINO supporters here. They screech that we conservatives are always to blame when their liberal with an ‘R’ by his name fails.”

This time they’ll be right. I will not help them elect their Rino. NO MORE. Let’s see what they can do on their own.

It’s been over a decade in the making. Has be been in a COMA? The Conservative GOP was no more by late 1995. The RINO’s controlled it as far back as then.

I think this took us all as a suprise. Rush is not there to tell us what to do. Besides, when I listened to him and Levin, I knew they favored Thompson, they didn’t have to put it in writing.

“You mean independants, moderates and cross over democrats?”

You may have a point there. Still, the real conservatives, Hunter, Tancredo and Thompson should have had a better combined showing. I do realize that they split many votes among themselves, but even when you add their votes up they didn’t amount to nearly enough to give me reason for optimism.

He did not need to tell me what to do, or anyone else. He needed to educate people on who was a conservative and who was not. He scrambled like a madman right before SC. Too little too late. And he never gave Hunter the time of day.

NO MORE. Let’s see what they can do on their own.

The RNC aren’t idiots. They know how many conservatives will gladly vote for McCain, how many will not vote at all, and how many will hold their noses and vote for him. That they see him as the best chance should tell you something.

In the early states, they allow crossover voting. What that means is that if the democrats want to, they can vote in our primaries. I think that had far more to do with why conservatives didn’t win early on.

Could it have helped if Rush hawked Hunter sooner? I suppose it could have. I have never in my life needed anyone to tell me who to vote for though. I check out the candidates and support the right folks.

Who tells you how to vote? Rush? No. I don’t think true conservatives are much different than you.

“Still, the real conservatives, Hunter, Tancredo and Thompson should have had a better combined showing”. You are correct; however, I cannot blame the conservative party for that. We are not a gigantic group, certainly not as big as the “middles”. I believe the “regular folk (middles)” who believe in conservative principles, actually think left of center would be a good idea. I believe that a lot of people listen to the MSM and believed the lies.

Unfortunately, I believe it will take a huge thwap upside their heads by a gigantic intrusive government for them to realize it’s not such a good idea.

“Uh, Reagan won, if I remember correctly.”

What you actually said was, “Winning is the only thing that matters… win at all costs”. Reagan knew that there was no Victory without fundamental beliefs being honored. You cannot win with mcinsane and not sell out fundamental Conservative beliefs… principles if you prefer.

LLS

“A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.”

I’m sure that a lot of Germans felt that way in the 1930’s.
