McCain or Bust...Conservatives, will you vote?

Posted on 02/07/2008 12:06:38 PM PST by WiseGuyF686

No articles on here, I apologize. I just wanted to bring a little bit of opinionated discussion in at this point, now that we stand on the brink of setting American back 4-8 years...

The conservative candidates are out of race, and it looks like it's McCain or bust. How many of you will close your eyes and vote for McCrazy over Obama or Hillary, in order to do minimal damage to America over the next preidential term...and how many of you will sit home and watch the sky fall?

Personally, I'll do just about anything to keep the Clintons at bay, including vote for John McCain.

Silly to even think of making that decision right now. Everyone is emotional. We have to watch how things play out in the campaign and then in the end decide on balance what is the best course of action.

Lots of respect lost for Tom Coburn. He chose Senate cronyism over principle. He could have simply declined to endorse anyone in the primaries.

The best way to fix the RINO problem is to stop voting for them. When RINOs lose elections, they’ll know to tack right.

Ding, ding, ding, ding ... we have a winner.

Don Pardo, tell Def what he's won.

I disagree. It is up to the Party to unite around US, NOT the other way around. And they have no interest in doing that.

When they do, they win, and history shows that clearly.

I will hold my nose and vote for McCain. Anything else is a vote for Hillary/Barry.

The damage is done either way. What we should be doing is screaming from the roof tops about being denied the vote and our candidate of choice.

Kind of like a choice between the clap and syphilis

More like the flu and a terminal disease, IMO.

I agree. I will vote for him if nothing else happens. But what I hope for is that something comes up that will so thoroughly disqualify him before the convention, that someone else will have to be selected during the nomination process.

I will either vote for Hillary, or abstain completely. If we are going to have ruinous liberal policies ripping away at the fabric of this country for the next four to eight years, I want the libs to get credit for them. If Whacky John gets in there, we will have the same odious policies, but the spineless right will be obligated to vote for them in support of the President.

I will hold my nose and vote for McCain. I can't belive anyone would think it is better to give the election to Hillary. At least we may have a chance of influencing McCain to stay to the right. We have no chance with Hillary and I don't think we can survive 4 or 8 years of her.

I voted for Romney in my primary. He lost. I have to deal with what is, not what I wish was going on.

Remember the only reason we got Bill was because all the idiots who voted for Perot. The only way I think Hillary can win is another 3rd party candidate to siphon conservative votes away or the conservatives stay home.

A nooooobie. Are you hear to shove McCain down our throats?
I won’t vote for him ever. How anybody can think he won’t do just as much damage to the country is beyond me. Amnesty alone is going to add millions of socialists to the government trough and the democrat party.

His connections to Soros are enough to tell me he is a democrat. So voting for him is going to just as much damage as voting for Obama or Hilary.

This amnesty that McShamnesty wants will destroy this country and forever alter the American voting base. A vote for McCain will contribute to that destruction. I will abstain from voting for president unless I find a thrird aprty candidate I like. I will also not vote for any other candidate that tries to push McCain down my throat.

I think we’re learning alot about many of our elected officials this year by watching where they stand in all this.

He could raise Barry Goldwater from the dead, make him VP, and do you know what effect that would have on how he chooses to govern? The same effect a dead Barry Goldwater is having on him now. Zip, zero, nada.

President Reagan once said: “I didn?t leave the Democratic Party. It left me.” Well, that applies to the Republican Party today. A party that supports huge spending bills, amnesty for illegals, assault weapons bans and making nice with Ted Kennedy is not the party I signed up for! I guess it’s time to form a REAL conservative party. Any suggestions how to go about it?

That’s something you can say again. There’s no way in hell voting for one liberal over another is going to fix things.

It’s time to tell them to shove this right up their collective, reach-across-the-aisle asses.

The guy talking right now on Fox sounds really good... but not convincing me.
