McCain or Bust...Conservatives, will you vote?

Posted on 02/07/2008 12:06:38 PM PST by WiseGuyF686

No articles on here, I apologize. I just wanted to bring a little bit of opinionated discussion in at this point, now that we stand on the brink of setting American back 4-8 years...

The conservative candidates are out of race, and it looks like it's McCain or bust. How many of you will close your eyes and vote for McCrazy over Obama or Hillary, in order to do minimal damage to America over the next preidential term...and how many of you will sit home and watch the sky fall?

Personally, I'll do just about anything to keep the Clintons at bay, including vote for John McCain.

Yes, it’s true. We need to do all in our power to keep the Democrats out of the House. It’s band-together time. We need to regroup as a party and be realistic...

We don’t need any third parties. We need to strengthen our resolve and come together as -the- Ronald Reagan Republican party. We need to move all RINOS in every way shape and form into a party of their own.

McCain, obviously. I’ve held my nose before.

I will not be a peeved, passive, supporter of Hillary.

My thoughts exactly. Conservatives who will not vote for John McCain will, in effect, cast their vote for Hillary Clinton. I know which evil is lesser.

Right now, I will write in Hunter, Thompson, or Tancredo - or I’ll vote for the Constitution Party. It’ll take a lot between now and November to make me hold my nose one more time. I’ve held my nose for so many elections I’ve got grooves in my face!

With McCain Republicans get my vote for Congress, not the White House.

Will vote for the most Conservative Congressional candidate. Will pass on the Presidential election.

I'm with you. I hope conservatives don't stay home just because they don't want to vote for the president.

I honestly do not know what I will do come election day, but will certainly do a lot of praying in the meantime.

That said, McCain WILL NOT win against Hillary. No way. Those who do vote for McCain, can either hope he does, in vain, or pray Obama gets the nomination.

This whole primary has been a joke, a staged primary, meant from day one to give the nod to the anointed one. As Conservatives, our votes do not matter. We have not been given any choice as to who was nominated. THAT is what we resent the most.

Here’s my problem right not. I vote for a guy that I truly, truly detest (McCrazy). He loses to Hillary or Obama anyway (which is going to happen). Then, not only do I have to live with Hillary or Obama, I have to live with the disgust I feel for myself for voting for him.

Fortunately, anything can happen between now and November so I don’t have to decide right now. I do know McCrazy will get no support from me during this campaign.

We are at war. The troops put their lives on the line for us. Which candidate will better support the troops that support us? Hillary, Obama, or McCain?

Look - Huckabee is the only pro-2nd amendment, pro-life conservative who has been willing to say he would deport the illegals left in the race. When will everyone wake up and realize we still have a choice. Duncan Hunter realized this.

Go ahead and keep letting the fools running the Republican party kick you around and you will never again get a real conservative.
Kick the party leadership in the teeth and just maybe conservatives won’t have to start a new party.

Here’s my perspective. About a third of voters always vote Republican, about a third always vote dem, and a third can be swayed. In 2000 and 2004, Bush barely won. I don’t think McCain is as popular as Bush so I can’t see him breaking the 50% mark without the conservative base support. So McCains going to lose, like it or not. I could be wrong.

I will write in someone so that my undervote cannot be used for vote fraud purposes. I will vote for Conservatives down ticket. I am done with supporting the lesser evils in all races. However, I could pull the lever for Huckabee if he pulls a miracle, taking me out of what most FReepers think of as normal.

I will not vote for the Rat, but I will also not vote for Shamnesty McCain. I will just skip the presidential vote if I can’t do a write-in. The GOP will not scare me into voting for thei RINO. Whether it’s McCain or Hitlery, it’s still Soros pulling the strings.
