Romney has now bowed out of the race leaving only McCain, Paul and Huckabee. It's impossible the latter two have any chance of garnering enough delegates to win the nomination. That leaves McCain. He has slapped Conservatives in the face more than enough times by siding with Socialist Democrats on issues. It's clear McCain will take the GOP farther to the left. The question now becomes how many of you have had enough of the GOP abandoning Conservatism and will in turn leave the GOP?
[You and others here sound like a typical leftist quitter. Have you been involved organizationally with your local or state GOP?]
Wrong. We are not stupid as the left base is and realize that a time comes when it is better to start a new party than to vote for the one who stinks less. Liberal less is not going to represent conservatives.
Correction: We’ll still have Virginia Foxx, too. Almost forgot about her.
I would recommend freepers look for Patrick McHenry on C-SPAN. I love watching him expose libs and their deals-like Nancy Pelosi’s Starkist exclusion on minimum wage and the liberals’ hypocrisy on social issues.
The conservatives send him out to speak on the really tough issues because they know he can articulate the conservative positions with conviction.
If a Democrat is elected President, I nominate him to give the Republican response to the first State of the Union Address.
They Kicked Me Out!
He would be awesome!
How many crybabies will cede control of the GOP to the liberals ("moderates") and run away, perhaps to a "third-party" sucker bet? I dunno - - what do you think?
This is a pretty lame vanity, BTW.
I think I’ve figured out what I’m going to do.
In the Texas primary, I CANNOT vote for “McLiberal” or “Nanny Stater Huckabee”. Instead, I will write in “Duncan Hunter” (my first choice).
If I happen to receive a call from a poll asking who I support for President - I’m going to say “Hillary”. Shove it to the lamestream liberal media; let them mess up as only they can.
If I get a call from the Republican Party asking for a contribution - they can pound sand until they can back a real Conservative; let them sweat a bit.
I’ll still contribute to those real Conservatives on the local level.
However, for the general election, unless there is a major miracle (which I doubt), I’m going to have to, hold my nose, and vote for the Republican nominee - even if it is McCain or Huckabee.
I’ll do this because: 1) No third party candidate is ever going to get it; 2) a “write in” would only be a vote for the “dims”; and 3) If the “dims” do get in, it means at least two more years before we can get more Conservatives in Congress, four years of a “dim” president, and 20 years of liberal federal judicial decisions.
In the meantime - we Conservatives have to really push for more Conservatives candidates and stronger Conservative principles.

Have you seen anyone else exhibit leadership skills?
Best answer yet. Build from the grass roots and screw the Bushy elitists.
No I have not.
But presenting an entertaining radio show and giving an analysis
of events tailored to suit the listener is likewise not a leadership skill.
It is time for conservatives to GET ENERGIZED.
No, not for McInsane.
For the local conservatives and members of the House and Senate. They're going to need all the help they can get!
Cheers!
Not me. I do not care for McCain as the nominee, but in the end it will come down to two people and I intend to vote for the better of the two.
There’s a possibility that McCain may not appoint conservative judges. There is no possibility that Obama or Hillary will.
Yep...And it just gets worse.
Thank you :)
Been thinkin' that myself.
Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!
