Fox news just reported that Mark Halprin [sic], from Time Magazine, has information that Mitt Romney will be ending his campaign sometime today.
I disagree, in principle. What did FDT in was the fact that he got in 6 months after everyone else. It's a shame that a successful candidate now has to begin campaigning 18 months before the election, but that seems to be the way it is. If FDT had been in it in Feb 2007, when we first started hearing "official" rumblings about it, instead of waiting until September and allowing his natural base of support to bleed off to other candidates, it would be a two-man Thompson vs. Romney or Thompson vs. McCain race right now - and conservatives would be turning out in droves to support Fred.
Please. Nobody with half a brain would vote for the Huckster. Obama is more qualified to be president than that fool and Obama’s qualifications are nil. Heck, I’d vote for McSHAME before I’d vote for Huckabee.
Get a grip.
Worse than insects.
Chuzzlewit said
“Those of you folks who wont vote for McCain, will be putting that woman in charge of our military. the woman basically called Petraus (sp? ) a liar.
Rally behind McCain against this woman, a Marxist.”
Better yet,
Rally behind Huckabee, against this man McCain, a Liberal.
You really love the word sleazy...but, then again I suppose that it is not unusual.
People gravitate to the things that make them feel comfortable and are uniquely their own.
Clearly, This is going to take a bit of practice. Please bear with me.
LOL Try some Victory Gin.
First, I think that there are MANY republicans voting democratic in their open primaries, simply to keep Hillary off of the ticket.
Second, those who voted for Obama (to weaken Hillary) are the types that would normally vote for the most conservative republican.
I am not sure how many people noticed Juan Williams stating several times on FoxNews on Super Tuesday that many white men were un-expectantly voting for Obama. This seems to validate my thinking.
Fred Thompson did all that? What planet are YOU from?
Thank you for proving my point so forcefully.
I willing to consider that Fred was a stalking horse for McCain.
However, Fred may have been a stalking horse for Romney.
There is a lot of bad blood between Bush(43) and McCain and a lot of things that point to Romney as the anointed replacement for Bush(43).
I cant believe youre really going to make me go through this..

Like I said he may not be anywhere near the ideal candidate and I can respect those for whom McCain is a bridge too far but all the JM is HRC comments are *completely* ridiculous..
Could be but Juan Williams is usually a perfect reverse barometer. Or a compass whose needle unerringly points south.
You speak the truth. I was a reluctant supporter of Romney after others failed. He has proven himself to me. Romney still has delegates and I hope that they are able to do the right thing and help shape the party for the future in the platform.
All of those who scream about a third party here - how many of you have ever taken the time or effort to work in the Republican Party? Have you ever done anything but pull the lever? People who were involved in the conservative revolution worked in the party and moved the party to our beliefs. We didn’t just vote and scream - we walked precincts, talked to our neighbors, gave our money, licked thousands of envelopes and spent countless hours advancing the cause.
The problem with the Party today is that there are lots of true Republicans in Name Only and I don’t mean position-wise I mean committment-wise who would never lift a finger to advance the cause. It’s someone else’s job, not theirs. They won’t spend a Saturday afternoon, missing a football game, to make things happen on their block.
If you want a revolution, you have to fight. I believe that the Republican Party is the best place to stage that fight from, and I will continue to work for the cause. Ronald Reagan didn’t go 3rd party - he brought this party around, with the help of thousands of other patriotic Republicans.
I didn't see that, but it's obviously sleazy.
Don't discount the possibility that some of the sleaze done in Romney's name may have actually come from his opponents. Seriously, what's the first thing a lying leftist does when he calls CSPAN or a radio show? He claims to be a conservative to maximize the impact of what he's saying.
The same could be true here. Especially with something as outrageous and damaging as a vulgar attack on FR's favorite candidate's wife.
Just something to take into consideration.
The vulgar rhyme, for example, was posted by JCEccles, who was NOT some liberal interloper troll.
Yeah, I have. Quite a lot of time and effort, actually. And I consider it to have been wasted. And I'm not going to be voting for McCain. Don't like that? Tough luck.
I could not agree with you more....if we ever even have another election after this one.
Clinton/Gore...especially Gore, were infactuated with re-writing the Constitution....
I have no reason WHATSOEVER to believe McCain would even put up a fight after assaulting the First Amendment.
But McCain is not in the WH...we need to make sure “true” conservatives stay true and he gets no support in the general from that faction.
Ah! The pre-convention brokering has been completed, I see.
