Fox news just reported that Mark Halprin [sic], from Time Magazine, has information that Mitt Romney will be ending his campaign sometime today.
Hugh is fine. He spent yesterday discussing that we must do what is good for the country in the end. He, like his candidate, is a gentleman.
Just one more reason to HATE LOVE John McCain.
Clearly, This is going to take a bit of practice. Please bear with me.
Pray thats about it cause if juan or obama or hillary gets in its only going to get worse..If we have a country left...:(
McCain can beat Clinton since he'll pull in probably even moderate Democrats, which shows you how far from the conservative base he is.
But here's hoping McCain picks his friend Fred Thompson as running mate. At least then he'll always have a conservative voice in his ear.
They planned this for 4 years. The GOP establishment joined with the left and the media to make sure a conservative would not make it to Super Tuesday. This was over long before the first candidates even announced.
We might not ever have another chance either.
Oh, good grief...please say this is tasteless joke!
Oh, good grief...please say this is tasteless joke!
Dobson was and is a fool and has no more credibility than McCain.
and McCain and the RNC can go **** themselves!
Im writing in Thompson in November.
“Mitt is better than the whole lot of them put together...
The next four years are going to be hell, no matter who gets in.
Pray for our Nation”
Fred and Hunter were pretty darn good, on a scale. Not a lot of great candidates for president if you look back over the years.
Tree of Liberty said
“”McCain is the only candidate that can loose to someone with over 50% who “will not vote for her, ever”.””
But keep in mind,
MCCAIN IS THE FRONT RUNNER, NOT THE WINNER!!!!!!
HE ONLY HAS ABOUT HALF THE DELEGATES NEEDED TO WIN!
People said Huckabee couldnt even get 10%, couldnt possibly win Iowa, couldnt possibly do it again, couldnt win any states Tuesday. He won five states Tuesday, and was ahead in Missouri for hours, until McCain finally caught up, then crept past him by one point.
So now when they say he couldnt possibly win the nomination, Im not buying that either.
Its just a daydream of mine, but if Hunter would be Huck’s VP, would you believe his intentions are to do the right thing on the border?
Huckabee won his home state by a (pardon my southern term) WHOPPING margin, while Romney barely won his home state by a 10 point margin.
Who cares who wins New York, or Illinois, or the North Eastern liberal states that are DEEP BLUE, and going to vote democrap in the fall for sure anyway (barring some huge unforeseen event).
A republican president needs to win in the south to win in the fall, and enough Republicans hate McCain to give a Huckabee a good chance.
Huckabee got over 60% of the vote in his home state, 2nd place was only 20%, and McCain got LESS than 50% in his home state.
So if you have been paying any attention to the posters on here claiming to be Arkansas republicans who claim he couldnt even win his own state, take a deep breath, and look at the numbers. T H R E E times as many votes, and the other guys barely won their home states. He won, BIG, compared to the other people they are telling us would be the winners.
Right now its just name recognition, and when most people get to know Mike Huckabee, they like him.
Likeability is something we will really need in the fall, against either Hillary or Obama, or a ticket with both on it.
A VOTE FOR HUCKABEE IS A VOTE AGAINST MCCAIN!!
HUCKABEE / HUNTER 08
They shouldnt even asked juan to come and speak at the CPAC.Hes no conservative at all....
> He wont be able to do that, even if he wants to. Reagan
> couldnt purge us of liberals!
Dream on.
Unlike Reagan, McCain will have the help of his friends on the Left and the so-called “independents” to neuter the conservatives within and without the GOP.
Its not good or bad for the party, the party is probably over. How is a candidate for the House and Senate going to run on a conservative platform when their top-o-ticket is John McCain? The media will tear them up as a divided party, which they’ll do anyway.
I’ve been seeing and hearing it. I kept the benefit of the doubt for Romney but now it’s clear that, like Fred, he was just another establishment stalking horse.
I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.
It ain't pretty. This experiment in freedom is likely over. The fall has started, probably started a few years ago
“McCain can beat Clinton since he’ll pull in probably even moderate Democrats, which shows you how far from the conservative base he is.”
Not without the base, he can’t. The base is conservatives and they do the majority of the grass roots work - you know, the dirty work like getting out the vote, knocking on doors, giving money, sitting on the phone......The base is NOT motivated at all. McCain inspires no one.
On the other hand, the dems have been licking their lips for 2008. So far 25,000,000 have voted for dems - we’ve gotten 12,500,000. The writing is on the wall.
