Ideas & Agenda for the GOP Party Today
All four remaining GOP presidential candidates attend the 2008 Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Sen. John McCain (AZ), Rep. Ron Paul (TX), and Fmr. Gov. Mitt Romney (MA) address and seek conservative support at nation's largest annual gathering. Fmr. Gov. Mike Huckabee (AR) speaks at CPAC on Saturday
McCain campign workers filling the audience.
CPAC falls victim to open borders policy
McCain says after what Tom says, maybe he should sit down....to CPAC, maybe we should do this more often (ha ha)
I don’t know about that, but he’s a damned liar when describing McCain. Either a liar or he’s ignorant.
Sounds like a stand O
Those poor people...
They not only brought in the supporters, but the signs, too.
Just sickening. Lots of cheers... Some boos, then cheers, then loud boos, protesters yelling. Order restored, some scattered shouts.
‘Agreed to sit down with Romney’
Sounds like he’s hinting he bagged Mitt’s endorsement.
I quit watching - it’s brutal...
McCain mentions Romney...many cheers...
unite party agreement between them
asks Mitt supporters to join him
mentions Huckabee
No thanks. We don;t want to join you.
I’ve been trying to watch this on c-span.com but it just isn’t working.
I suspect they’ve packed the house with his supporters. McCain has consistently shown contempt for the American people and conservatives, in particular.
I am acutely aware that I need conservatives
Coburn made a pretty good speech. He did make some good points about a couple of things McCain has gotten right — especially his attempt to fight against earmarks.
when he mentioned rommey’s name he stepped on the cheers and applause and continued talking to shorten the moment
I’m hearing boos as well, but the brought-in applauders are doing a good job of drowning them out.
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of the party
Politics at its best/worst
McCain can kiss my as$. Period.
We need on the ground report. Sounds like brown shirt tactics are being used to silent dissent
BUT, he says he still disagrees with us on stuff.
McCain just said that he cannot win without the base. That’s pretty SAD when the frontrunner has to kiss up to the base.
