For those conservatives who feel betrayed by the Republican Party, I have just two words -- Money Talks. Write to the RNC and tell them that this year you will be sending your RNC contributions to Romney. Don't just do it. Tell the "powers that be" that you're doing it. If enough members act, I think the big boys will start getting the message.
How about we just write a pledge we send to the GOP.
If McCain wins, we will vote for the Democrat nominee whoever it is.
IF they get a few hundred thousand of those they might notice something is amiss.
MIGHT.
(they still will not believe it but they may have a concern)
What states are first in the primary process? Mostly the Liberal ones.
Why was Bob Dole a nominee? It was his turn.
Why is John McCain the nominee? It's his turn.
At the debates, why didn't Tancredo, Hunter, or Thompson get a lot of questions? No one wants to hear from those guys.
Why was Duncan Hunter excluded from a debate even though he had performed better than Giuliani in primaries? No one wants to hear from him.
So, when the voters go to the polls, who do they support? The big three: McCain, Romney, Huckabee. These were the three that were hand-picked by the MSM and that process was aided and abetted by the Republican Party establishment.
The process is broken. Yeah, I suppose the voters could fight back, but that's truly asking a lot. They're called sheeple for a reason.
Dobson opened the door to Huckabee, who in turn opened the door for McCain.
Burn a check instead. :)
I haven’t snet them anything for about six years.
Yep, he sure did, the evangelicals have all the political savvy of a dumb rock, not a rock,..a dumb rock.
I've been trying to say this for a couple of weeks.
There's more to it, of course ... but you said some basics.
Now influential conservatives- not party heads- like Rush, etc, I agree, should have jumped on board earlier, but they didn’t. In fact James Dobson dissed Fred and Rush pronounced over and over that there were no true conservatives in the race. So people without any leadership rallied behind someone that they figured could beat Hillary. One RINO is as good as another; that’s, I believe, the logic of McCain’s voters.
When you seek perfection, you find nothing
Romney got my cash already.
I quit giving money to the party.
They just abuse it.
Piss on ‘em.
Once McLame is officially the nominee, I’m reregistering as an Independent after being a Repub for over 25 years. It’s just too embarrassing to remain in a party that no longer represents my views. Borrowing from a similar statement by President Reagan, “I didn’t leave the Republican party, the Republican party left me.”
I love the Great One. And I agree with you on supporting strong conservatives. But Romney is the only candidate still standing who's against amnesty and is smart enough to deal with the economy. McCain is a disaster. If he can be stopped, we need to do something now or, as Mark Levin would say "forever hold yourself."
It always irritates me when candidates claim to be fiscally responsible as they live the lives of rock stars on donated money. Then, win or lose they continue to blow money like it belonged to them.
He's the rich one of the bunch. Sides, he's probably dropping out. And three, even if he stays in; he's one of the "None of the Above" candidates on the ticket.
I agree, I think. We should have closed primaries (only for Republicans). Also all the states need to decide whether to award delegates proportionately or winner gats all. I don’t mind the early state primaries/caucuses but I don’t like that they-’re open to non-Republicans.
Howzabout I just send money to the candidates which I support?
Send your money to Romney if you want to, it’s not like he can just write himself a check...oh, wait...
It would cost them more to cash it than it was worth!
