Republicans for Choice endorses John McCain

Our first choice, Rudy Giuliani, did not win. He ran a campaign with a risky strategy and it didn't work. But our number two choice did win...John McCain. McCain came in second in a survey of our membership.

While he is personally "pro life" he has time and again reached out and worked with people across the spectrum. We know we can work with him to create common ground that will allow moderates and conservatives to come together to rebuild the GOP.

RFC joins with Rudy Giuliani in asking our supporters to consider McCain as they go to vote over the next few weeks.

John is a true American hero with strong and consistent values. He will provide the leadership that will rebuild America's confidence in itself and among our allies worldwide.

The GOP had the Senate and House and lost them through big government excesses.

What matters for this election. Is the USSC. There are 7 members over 70.

You really want Clinton to replace them? Haven’t we had enough legal murder in this country?

Any of you who do not vote for McCain if he is the nominee are tacitly supporting continued abortion in this country.

McCain has received backing from some social conservative Republicans, including Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas, a leading pro-lifer, who ended his own White House bid last October and endorsed the Arizona senator the following month.

Writing in the current issue of the National Catholic Register , Brownback called McCain "the best pro-life candidate to win in 2008."

By golly, I'm suddenly impressed by John McCain: it turns out that on abortion, he's a uniter, not a divider.

Not a surprise. McCain has no strong religious or moral convictions. He will do whatever the MSM leans on him to do. If he was capable of betraying his fellow POW/MIAs, if he was capable of dumping his faithful wife and marrying a beer heiress, if he was capable of joining the Keating 5, if he was capable of making a deal with clinton to call off the DEA after his wife stole drugs from her nonprofit, if he was capable to selling out his country to illegals, then he will certainly be capable of pulling a Mario Cuomo and saying, “I am personally opposed to abortion, BUT . . . .”

With McCain, there is no moral bedrock.

This must be the "reach out to conservatives" that McCain was babbling about last night. LOL!

I have been pretty pessimistic since Nov 2006, the dynamics of having Bush in office allowed democrats to claim he is what is standing in the way of Peace and a liberal Paradise. (Bush and Cheney resigning on the spot would have changed this, with President Pelosi.) This meant that no Republican had a great chance of winning and the Kennedy McCain bill made things worse.
McCain, who has little chance of winning, would have continued like Bush, but worse with more embracing of democrats and attacking of conservatives destroying the R party for a decade. What is likely is that the Queen Hillary will take power because democrats want to win so bad, believing the White House will solve everything for them. Now McCain being the one who goes down, maybe with Huckabee with a vice president will completely change the dynamics, like with Clinton 92 and Newt 94.
Much of the country think's they want the feds to run their lives and a John McCain giving in to democrats would have just make that hunger stronger. A poor economy, democrats not able to get things done, or being forced to compromise while being seen in complete power would be the wakeup call.
