LP is probably a better choice then the CP, I think LP is in all 50 states, LP has very low turn out, if only 10% of GOP conservatives voted in LP primaries we would swamp them and take over. Thing is, as a small-”l” libertarian, I think conservatives have more in common with the LP, than with a GOP which leaves those two Border Agents rotting in jail, and calls Americans “vigilantes”.

A brokered convention will not bring an outside candidate in to save the day. Deals will be made to put McCain over the top. There is no fairy tale ending to the brokered convention scenerio.

I never said it would. However, a brokered convention might be the beginning of a giant shock to the GOP system, which it apparently needs if it is to survive as a party and/or re-adopt conservative principles.

We will not be any worse off after a brokered convention. But it could provide the spart for a shake-up.
