That NY Times scandel story on McCain could hurt him if its true and comes out. imo
Mitt should SUSPEND his campaign.

You're not kidding. And look how divided the party is by region, religion, agenda. What an unholy mess. Obama or Clinton are going to cakewalk into the WH. I'd rather it be the brutha. The whole election has been split- you have women voting for hillary, blacks voting for Obama, mormons voting for Mitt, Evangelicals for Huck. If people were voting on ideas, I would be fine with that. But, this identity politics are really disappointing.

I just will not be voting in that race. There's a school of thought that dictates that if it is Juan McCain versus any Democrat, it is best to vote Democrat. Either way the country is screwed. It might as well happen with a Democrat in office if the GOP is ever to succeed in rebuilding its brand.
I'm not sure I would go for such a strategy, but I don't think the GOP has a real chance for making a political comeback until at least the Congressional elections in 2010. Maybe by then the national GOP will do the right thing and close all of its primaries.

I have a question for yall that say he cant....do you want him to beat McCain? Doesn't matter, I can't vote for either one. Romney was about as far as I could tilt myself to the left without falling over. I won't fall over for a Socialist or a liberal nut.

We will look back fondly on Bush, by comparison.

Looks like I can vote for Fred in WI now like I wanted to. We have an important judicial vote on the ballot or I wouldn’t even bother going.

"Go Thompson/Hunter!"You know it's really a shame they quit.
It would have been interesting if they had stayed in all the way to the convention and seen if the conservatives together could have pulled enough delegates in total to broker a conservative candidate.

Well unfortunately Hegel did not believe in God and thus his dialectic never figured in miracles or Higher intervention. In the meanwhile hard work prepares for the small opening (and remember mustard seeds--all you believers!) and we conservatives must continue to have faith and work very hard on supporting the ideals and principles that we believe in and value and when the door opens even the smallest of a crack . . . we will not let opportunity pass up by. A party takeover ain't gonna stop us as we as not flimsy, trendy sorts.
The antithesis of McCain and Hillary will be either a conservative Republican or a extreme liberal--so let's fight for our day of renewal on each of our causes going forward and not forget there is a God and McCain, Hillary, nor the GOP are certainly not it.

"Turn out was huge on the Democrat side while Republican can barely be bothered to show up"
Well we might take a look at how we are all savaging each others' candidates on the GOP side. It's not just McCain. Before that Guiliani was the devil, then Romney, then Huckabee, then McCain. In fact hatred has been poured out on each and every front runner. And many talk show hosts picked a favorite and blather on against all the others.

You mean the citizens of Massachusetts didn’t want any of that?

For some reason, McQueeg is popular. He might win. Conservatives still will lose....big time.

A vote for Romney was a vote for McCain. Did not read about West Va did you? A vote for Huck was a vote for McCain. And we should of supported a big nanny state tax and spend Liberal over a Big Govt authoritarian tax hiking Liberal why? McCain/Huck its all the same. We know they will push the Democrat agenda. They say so in the issues they back. At least with Romney we had a chance of SOME Conservative issues being advanced.

If that is that, then that is that.
I will stay home and eat chicken wings while I watch it disintigrate for another thirty years.

According to Karl Rove on Fox Dem turnout was 2-1 over GOP tonight. Sigh. We'll never win in November if we don't win the South and both McLame and Romney are clearly weak there. And Huckabee is weak just about everywhere else. Sigh..... Thanks GOP establishment/DBM for screwing over Thompson and Hunter and leaving us with these three clowns.
