Why bother? That has been my position since Hunter dropped out. Welcome to the club.

Sometimes I think we’ve entered a “Catch-22” with regards to Presidential candidates.

The fact that someone even wants the job, makes them suspect in the first place.

JimRob, it sounds like a good topic for an FR poll — if it’s Huckster vs. McCainiack, how do you vote?

I think we need to have a fundamental rethinking of the entire thing, including ditching the very candidates who couldn't put up a decent fight in the first place.

And yes, I am very serious. We cannot let the Reagan Revolution become nothing but a myth to my children and children's children. The Conservative Renaissance must begin anew if we are to have a world better than the one we came into.

And we must make this undertaking with equal, if not greater, gravity that the founders of this great nation brought to the table when they crafted the principles we hold so dear.

I am dismayed, but not discouraged. And I will not surrender this nation's or my child's future without a fight.

looks like it’ll be Hillary in 2008

if you don’t think so, shows how much you understand the power of the press and how the chips fall.

huck or mccain... doesn’t matter... neither can pull from her base nor keep her base home. meanwhile, she can keep mccain or huck’s base at home by having her press machine explain their backgrounds (which has largely been ignored so far... for a reason)

also, you might want to check the ‘96 elections for a glimpse at the future.

i’ll go find some popcorn to watch the hucksters and mccainiacs run headlong into the clinton press wall

And thanks to the GOP Establishment and rabid anti Mormon hysterics for handing the Democrats a 60 seat Senate and the White House.

Welcome to the political tar-pits GOP Dinosaurs! You got no money, no organization, poor turn out and badly split base that sees virtually no difference politically between your tax hiking Liberal Candidate and theirs. The Republicans will be lucky to take 10 states in Nov.

From Huckabee’s speech tonight, it sure didn’t sound like he was going to drop out.

Yep. It’s Billary or Bubama.

Taxes up the rear. Radical Left Supreme Court for the next 30 years banning guns and conservative speech. 10’s of millions more Mexicans dominating American politics and voting themselves other people’s (our) money and preference in education and hiring. United Nations’ control of our economy through the Global Warming scam.

Thank you, evangelicals for votin’ fur the Christian, and thank you aging dolts for voting for the war hero.

Identity politics will be the death of us all.

If my candidate could lend himself 35 million, he’d have sown up the nomination months ago

Hunter could have done it with $10 million.

I think Mitt spent more like $50 million plus including 2008 spending. Unfortunately the ridiculous quest of this liberal to mimic conservatives and hope they would buy it really held down the pool of conservative votes available for actual conservatives.

Time to realize that all that $ he’s loaned his own campaign isn’t likely to be “re-fueled” by the grassroots campaign any time soon. (Cost per voter & cost per delegate starting to get way too expensive...A smart investor can calculate “Return on Investment”)

How do we get gridlock out of Hillary leading a Democrat congress?

Somehow I am reminded of Sauron driving the orcs.......
