“Do you think the Giants will have a parade in downtown NY?”
____________________________________________________________
Doubt it. Last two Super Bowl victories they paraded around Giant Stadium in the parking lot under the crossed aerial ladders of the local FD.

I think every team in NFC North will be a threat next year. You do realize the Detroit Lions are in the NFC North.
(and yes I'm a Lions fan)

MILLINGTON CABLE IN MILLINGTON, TN CUT THE GAME OFF WITH 1:30 LEFT, AND DIDN'T TURN IT BACK ON UNTIL THE LOMBARDI TROPHY WAS BEING HANDED OUT. I MISSED THE FINAL DRIVE AND THE GAME-DECIDING TOUCHDOWN. I'm sorry about the caps lock, but DAMN.

Im not a Pats fan, but I hate the Giants. They beat Green Bay (who I liked), so I hope the Pats kick their butts.I bleed green and gold but I have respect for a team that can beat the Pack at home in the playoffs, in less than desirable weather, missing 2 FGs then winning it with a 3rd in OT. The Giants really deserved to win this Super Bowl and their defense played great.

I agree. And I have to say, his cut off sweat shirts are bummish.

Let me just offer my congratulations on your Giants team for winning Super Bowl 42. If ever there was a team that earned it, it was the Giants. Beating 4 teams in a row, on the road? DAY-UM!

Reality escapes some. Good post. While I didn’t have a dog in this hunt, I’ll pull for Csonka anytime.

Yes. I do blame him. I also blame him for the cheating that he has already been convicted of.
What a poor example of a 'leader'. He's an example of leadership that's equivalent to Bubba.
Belichick will NEVER be held in the same respect as Landry, Noll, Lombardi, Walsh...or any of the great coaches. He'll be an asterisk in NFL history.

Hey I got to see most of the second quarter before the chanel went down again. Missed the half time and all but 4 minutes of the third quarter.
That was a good game what I got to see of it.
Rush Limbaugh's friend Hutch said if Brady was sacked three times the Giants would win.
Well Rush’s friend was right on.

Disagree. The Pats played well, but the Giants played better. It was a hellaciuos game and it could have gone either way. The Giants played outstanding defense and Brady has the grass stains to prove it.

I don’t disagree at all - from the Eagles game onward the Patriots had a lot of close calls, other teams figured them out, and it finally caught up with them. They were not dominant after around game 11, but they are still 18-1 for the season. I know almost everyone on all sides thinks that “only the SuperBowl really counts” but I simply disagree. A great season is still a great season, and yes it would be much sweeter (for Pats fans) to have capped it with the SB win, but the Giants’ D had other ideas and stepped up to play a tremendous game.
I just never understand why some people can never give credit where credit is due (not speaking of you, but some of the trash-talkers on this thread). As a Pats fan I have great admiration for what the Giants did tonight, and great disappointment for how our 18-1 season has ended, but I’m not going to join the bandwagon with people (both fans and haters) who now say the Pats had a worthless season b/c they did not cap it off with the SB win. I guess I just don’t put everything on the SB the way most people do — I enjoy many different games, though a SB win certainly would have been the best of all.
Congrats to the Giants on a game well played!!

Trouble with GB is Favre is washed up. He’s a pure pick machine in the playoffs. The only way he’ll go to another Super Bowl is if he buys a ticket.

I changed my tagline in November or December I think, after hearing that song on the radio. That day, I came home and looked up the
lyrics, and they're even better than I had remembered.

It was a fluke. Anytime Minnesota wins its a fluke. They are one of the leagues worst. Actually, at 8-8 we are one of the league's mediocres. And yes, we manhandled the Giants on their field. And manhandled the Chargers on ours, meaning we played three teams in conference finals and beat two of them.
That said, the Giants win makes it easier for us to make fun of the Packers. Even WE beat the Giants. :)
Congratulations to the Giants, though. They deserved to win and they played a tremendous game. Belicheck's actions at the end of the game were ugly but not surprising.
Moss was excoriated by fans everywhere when he left the field early in the last game of the 2004 season. He was on the sidelines at the end of the game. It does not appear that his head coach can say the same thing.
