When my beloved giants lose to the pats, it will be bitterly disappointing. But I take solace in the fact it is ex-giants coaches that rebuilt the pats. And I’m forever grateful to Belichick for the defensive schemes he came up with to beat the bills. He’s the best coach in NFL history. He wins championships and that’s all that matters in the NFL. Not how hard you played, not whether you played by the rules. That’s all loser talk. The NFL is about winning the superbowl, period. And the man has five rings, going on six.
As for the Giants, if they keep the team together they could be a contender for several years to come. It looks like their general manager Reese knows how to draft. What they need is some like Jimmy johnson to come in and instill mental toughness in them. They can’t win titles making stupid mistakes, turning the ball over. Unless there is a coaching change, meaning Coughlin, I will watch the G-Men lose games they should win. They shouldn’t win today because the pats are the superior team.

I have a couple of questions:

1. Does the University of Phoenix have a football team? They don’t list one on their stadium website.

http://www.universityofphoenixstadium.com/

2. If they dont have a football team, why did they build an indoor football stadium?

On Puppy Bowl IV, on Animal Planet, there’s a 39 pound puppy named Bruin and he’s wrecking the place.

My reckless prediction:

I predicted it right for XXXIX/XL, but missed XLI. Let’s see how I do this time:

Patriots...20
Giants.....17

Brady gets harassed all day by the Giants D-line and struggles early. Giants don’t capitalize as Manning becomes erratic, but are able to build a 14-10 lead at halftime.

Then at the end of the game, the Patriots will pull it out with last second heroics... perhaps with Matt Cassel in the game at QB (wild guess here)... and a game winning field goal at the end of the game.

That’s not what I’m hoping for, just my guess on what’s going to happen. So I'm guessing Pats straight up but Giants against the 12-point spread.

39 pound puppy? They must be feeding him more than scooby snacks.

I hope this doesn’t sound totally gay, but I’m really digging Jimmy Johnson’s suit. I might go tie shopping tomorrow.

I knew that there would be a Red Carpet Event featuring Ryan Seacrest, but it's even worse than I thought it'd be.

Who's got screen caps? This is the Metrosexualization of Super Bowl.

I wonder if Tom Petty is having serious regrets already.

Honestly, first Idol, then New Year's, and now the biggest game of the year‽‽ I remember when he was hosting kiddie game shows in the '90s. Ah, well... the game's not for another 3 hours anyway.

Geez Scott!

Super Bowl commercials are breaks for replenishing the table. None have the allure of a Buffalo Wing or the charm of a Brat with kraut!

(Actually, there was one ad.....not a Super Bowl ad....that was so good that I always stopped what I was doing to watch it. The Pella Windows ad.)

“He’s the best coach in NFL history.”

Ahem! You must be pretty young! ;)

“Coaches who can outline plays on a black board are a dime a dozen. The ones who win get inside their player and motivate.”
~ Vince Lombardi

“I firmly believe that any man’s finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle - victorious.” ~ Vince Lombardi
(You’ll note that the writers of “Conan the Barbarian” stole the gist of THAT statement!)

“Show me a good loser, and I’ll show you a loser.” ~ Vince Lombardi

I know, about time, huh? She’s lost all the pregnancy weight and really does look good. Her demeanor still screams 20something-wannabe, but you can take the girl out of Hollywood.. can’t take H’wood out of the girl.

I love Lombardi. Another Giants assistant coach that got away. Along with Tom Landry. I’d give Belichick the edge over Lombardi simply because the Pats are going to win three or four more superbowls over the next decade. That is if he decieds to stay. Belichik might quit after they blowout the Giants today. Probably not, but you never know.
