Obama Says He'd Be Better Against McCain (doesn't want Mitt)

snip...

Obama advisers have said privately for months that McCain would be their preferred opponent among all those who sought the GOP nomination. They said a race between Obama, 46, and McCain, 71, would provide the starkest contrast between old vs. new, the future versus the past. It's an argument that Obama also has been using against Clinton, but his campaign feels it would be even stronger against McCain.

Asbestos undies on, so FLAME AWAY!

I WANTED Cheney to run, but supported Hunter, then Tancredo, then Thompson, and now Romney.

Why Romney you ask? Because McVain is a whackjob, and will inevitably end up as McDole getting his @$$ whipped.

Romnet is actually a successful businessman, and that's what we need to manage our economy. I would prefer someone like Hunter or Thompson to manage the War on Terror, but I actually trust Romney to "hire" the right guys to get the job done.

Bottom line: Mitt is the ONLY chance to stop the McDole implosion of the Republican party. If you haven't voted in a primary yet, PLEASE stop McVain by voting for Mitt.

Well, duh! Of course he wants McCain, the old coot.

And we’re supposed to believe that McCain is the only one who can beat the Dems. Even Obama knows better.

“It would be fun to see McCain knock that goofy smile off Obama’s face for calling him too old.”

Oh, I don’t know. I’ll bet McCain has a few Dumbo lines in his warchest. Could be a brawl.

just because there may not be any skeletons in Romney's immediate family closet

Unfortunately, his immediate family closet is his church closet -- and there are plenty of skeletons in there. I'm sorry to say it, but Mormonism is scarcely known to the general public. When I hear Ann Coulter shriek today, "What, for God's sake, is wrong with Romney?" She shrieks that in protest against all who are supporting McCain. And I can't help but believe that she shrieks it in total ignorance of what Mormonism is, and what a weakness it would be for the REPUBLICAN nominee.

I'm sorry, but what's wrong with Romney, the skeletons, will be brought out, maybe a couple of facets per week, by Carville's work on behalf of the NOMINATRIX, in cahoots with the MSM, which will dutifully parrot the sensational insinuations.

Most of the public is unaware that the more arcane elements of Mormonism are downright bizarre. Folks who say, "Oh, religion doesn't matter, he's not chaplain-in-chief anyway, why should Mitt's religion matter any more than any other candidate's?", fail to realize that Mormonism claims that the American Indians are descendants of the Jews; that God and several Mrs. Gods have perpetual sex to produce spirit-children to create the likes of you and me; that God lives in this very universe, on or near a planet called Kolob; and that Mormons who are Temple-worthy are on their way to being gods on their own planets. All these beliefs and more will be weekly MSM fare during any general election campaign involving Mitt. Carville will make sure of it. A Scientologist would have a better chance defending himself than a Mormon would. Mormons don't like the deeper secrets of their religion trumpeted out in public.

If it weren't for all of that, and the vulnerability to those sensational, weekly attacks, I'd be for Romney over McCain. But those attacks would be inevitable, unseemly though they would be, and there would be no defense against them. However, the poor guy would BE ON THE DEFENSIVE, week after week. You cannot win when you are on the defensive. And the more you refuse to answer the questions, the more they will be asked. The MSM is AGAINST the Republican, that is a given. And the MSM would make Romney's Mormonism the ONLY issue.

“But we have some hardheads that just don’t get it.”

Do you think all the national polls are wrong or dishonest? They all show McCain could beat H. or Obama, and Romney couldn’t.

Of course this could all change over the next few months, but currently, that’s the situation.

Obama better worry: McCain's got the living-dead vote nearly locked up.

Yup, McCain's the Brer Rabbit Candidate for sure - "Please don't let McCain win!" say the Dimocrats. "We can't beat him."

Romney is the one they fear. Now that's a man that looks like a President.

I disagree strongly. The Democrats have elevated Harry Reid to such a high position of influence and power that any attempt by the rats to attack Mitt based on his faith, also attacks their own judgment. They put Reid in power, there is no getting around that fact. It would be so transparently hypocritical for them to do any such thing.

And to top that off, if Obama gets the nod, he has to be VERY careful about throwing religious stones, considering his glass house.

Yes, the Dems fear Mitt the most. He would nail them in debate.
He is not afraid to state the facts of their records.

McCain is one of them...so he would have a harder time distinguishing himself...

The best leaders and statesmen are those who don’t go by polls. Clinton showed us what happens to those who live and die by polls.

Press forward and take courage!

In fact, I think I’m changing my tagline, to reflect just that!

“Time to wake up folks, this is the reality of it. The media has been pushing McCain down our throats for a reason. Mitt is the only hope we have of defeating them.”

That has been obvious since the day Fred dropped out. First it was free air time for everyong but Fred. Then once Fred was out, it was McCain and Huckabee getting pushed and pushed to keep Romney,(the next most conservative) down. Mitt is the one the MSM fears now, as he would beat Hillary or Obama. GO MITT!

It just occurred to me...

why would Obama announce that he fears Romney more than McCain?

Because he wants us to vote for Romney.

And why does he want us to vote for Romney?

Because he thinks he can beat Romney.

Does this make sense to anyone else? Why else would Obama state this opinion just before Super Tuesday?

Oh good grief I said that wrong. . .

Obama says he WANTS McCain as his opponent.

So we all go vote for Romney.

But Obama said that so we’d vote for Romney, because actually, McCain beats him in the national polls. Of course he’d really prefer Romney, and this is his way of getting us to vote for Romney.

Obama Says He'd Be Better Against McCain

Geez, even Obama sees the obvious. Sadly, there are quite a few Republicans out there that do not. If McQueeg wins the nomination, the Dems win in November. And yes, that includes the House and Senate.

Then to add insult to injury, McCain holds on to his Senate seat because, unlike Bob Dole, he doesn't have the decency to resign his seat - just like the Democrat he is. (See: John Kerry '04, Joe Liebermann '00)

The President is not supposed to manage the economy. The fact that Mitt thinks the President mages the economy demonstrates he is not a true fiscal conservative. the US economy does not need MItt to manage it.

America needs leaders who will put an end to greedy American business people that are selling our national security out to the PRC.
