The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in Florida shows former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney earning 33% of the vote while Arizona Senator John McCain attracts 27%.The poll was conducted Saturday afternoon before Florida Governor Charlie Crist announced his endorsement of McCain and the race is fluid enough that both men have a realistic chance of winning on Tuesday. Rasmussen Markets data showed that expectations for a McCain victory rose following the Crist announcement.

I suspect that your reasoning beats all the paid pundits put together.
I wont vote for either of them..
McCain has stabbed EVERYONE in the back. I hear Fred is about to endorse Romney. Fred and McCain were best friends, and I know both of them, and have worked with them.I warned Fred RIGHT OFF that McCain was using him, to get his Hollywood contacts... and to score with the women that Fred attracted. I WITNESSED it, and unfortunatly McCain jnvolved me, and it was RIGHT THEN that I told Fred he was being used. Well Fred wasn’t having any of it then, but I’ll just bet McCain stabbed him REALLY BAD LATELY, and Fred is finally realizing it. Fred is extremely bright... but not quick or a good judge of character in the beginning. McCain I can truly say IS UNHINGED, period.
25 polling firms have polled one or more of the 8 Presiential Primaries and Caucuses to date in 2008. Heres how the pollsters stack-up, ranked from smallest average error to largest average error (where smaller error is better, and zero is perfect).
They have really been off, underestimating Mitt. However, Rasmussen is about the most accurate. Zogby has begun to suck out loud.
Romney will not appeal to evangelicals... Most of whom could vote McCain or even Trudy before the dishonest romney..
Compared to the wrong predictions of the “pundits” so far this year, ANYONE’S opinions would be more accurate, lol. And most of the conservative pundits, including Fox News, are in the tank for McCain, and before that, Rudy. Howard Fineman is finally telling the truth about how the Demos mortally fear Romney, as he is a GOVERNOR, and a Governor will always beat a Senator.
They will vote for Mitt over HILLARY THE HATED, any day. She DOES unify ALL Republicans.
That's nonsense.
Of the 3 legs of the conservative stool, Security, Fiscal and Values he is solid on the first two.
His biggest criticism has been about his committment to conservative Values issues. Out of the 12 issues listed he gets a 10 on only 5; CFR, Crime, Death Penalty, School Vouchers & Property Rights. On which of these does he rate a 5?
Campaign Finance Reform? He is adamantly opposed to CFR and is the most conservative of all the candidates on this issue.
Crime? He pardoned far less criminals than did Governor Huckabee.
Death Penalty? He has always been consistent and strong supporter of it.
School Vouchers? He is outspoken in favor of School VOuchers.
Property Rights? Again he is outspoken in favor of property rights.
As I said above, most conservatives attack him on Values Issues. I wish his record was more consistently conservative on Values Issues, too. I give him a little slack here because:

governor beats a senator.........sounds like a chess game...LOL...I cannot even watch Fox anymore. they are all in the tank for someone.....anyone but a conservative.
McCain or Rudy. And look at history: Governor ALWAYS trumps Senator. We should market it as a NEW chess game...
I would not put money on that, most of the Evangalicas I know are planning to vote 3rd party if Willard is on the ticket (and most feel the same about Trudy)..
Political chess.......the dems have the black and white game pieces in place.......their joker, dennis, already dropped out ....but they still have the silk pony to play the knight........LOL
No thanks. Too old. Only if Stevens retires and the Senate will only confirm one of their own.
Already voted for Romney X 3 (daughter and wife, too) in Saturday voting here in Bay Co, FL. He was my second choice, my first having dropped out recently. I’m an active duty military guy, but don’t trust McManchurian. Mitt is more palatable.
COMPLETELY DEBUNKS THE “ONLY MCCAIN IS ELECTABLE” MANTRA:
Romney v Clinton = 42 to 47 - Clinton +5, Clinton under 50%.
Rasmussen 01/21 - 01/22 800 LV 42 47 11 Clinton (D) +5.0
Romney is barely known by most voters, yet as of today can get very close to her in the matchup.
Ignore the earlier polls, as Romney is just now getting known.
Reagan 'saw the light' well before even running for governor, and not conveniently just months before declaring a presidential bid at the age of 60. Reagan's conversion came complete with conservative essays and public speeches (also before running for office).
Mitt's 'no tax increase' mantra I can swallow, or at least as much as I trusted G.H.W. Bush's 'Read my lips' pledge before he took office. Even there, Romney has credibility problems when you look at his record. To get around the 'tax' semantic while governor, he funded his socialist mandates by levying mandatory 'fees'.
The rest of his rhetoric doesn't match up well (or at all) to his public record. Mitt has some good qualities, but he's not 'conservative' in the way the Reagan would have used the term.
GOOD POINT!
“someone saw a CNN craw saying Thompson is endorsing Romney.”
It’s not on CNN. false rumor? mistaken read on the Liz Cheney endorsement?

Just killing you, isn’t it?
