Reagan had championed ideals for a decade before he was elected, he lost the nomination process twice...

In today’s politics, that is impossible, the money is too large to do that, so Mitt would have to compress his Ideals and do it fast.

I went after your post because you made a blanket statement asserting what Fred Thompson was saying about the debate. You have no idea what he is saying about the debate. You just made up what he was saying, based on what YOU were saying.

You stole his name to make your point.

I apologized for an off-debate post during the live thread, because the live thread is where we discuss what the candidates are saying, not side issues.

I don’t mind you having a passion, but I do mind when you put words in other people’s mouths. I have MY opinion of what Fred Thompson would say about the debate, and if I posted it I would label it as my opinion, but why should I have an opinion of HIS opinion?

If Fred Thompson wants to comment on the debate, he’s got a phone, and a bevy of reporters who will be HAPPY to take his call.

If he does NOT want to comment on it, he certainly doesn’t want you making up his statement for him.

That’s what I’m objecting to, and the appropriate response was “you are right, I should speak for myself”.

If I started posting MY views as if Fred Thompson said them, I’d get a lot more back than one person asking me to stop.
