A catch 22, Mitt ‘s vices preclude making him the “guy” that you would like to have a beer with and chat, or a coffee with and chat with your friends about him.

He’s a good looking mug, has a decent family, but not the sort that “Joe Average” would hang out with...

I heard that George W. Bush was the candidate who people would most want to drink a beer with. W. don’t drink either. Personally I could care less about his family or his friends his religion or his personal habits (so long as they didnt’ reveal deep character flaws); just his governance philosophy. I liked Hunter but would probably rather drink a beer with Guiliani or Thompson.

Sorry to introject here, but personally, I don’t want “an average Joe” as POTUS. That just doesn’t cut it.

I guess I’m not an “average joe”. I don’t smoke, or drink. But I have no problem hanging with people who do (although I do find that I am getting less able to tolerate the smell of smoke because I’m never around it anymore). I do drink caffiene.

I also never had sex with anybody but my wife, who I’ve been married to for coming on 25 years. I must be a real freak to some people here.

I have Mormon friends from work, and I enjoy their company. They aren’t as stuffy as you might think from their solid family values.
