Debate among the GOP presidential contenders. Live at 9:00pm EST/8:00 CST
LLS
McCain was in his wayback machine. Although he clearly meant to say 1982, McCain said, “in 1892.” At that point it made him seem much older than 71. The closed captioner fixed it (even their cc was helping McCain).
It could have as easily been the president. He doesn’t look
any too happy lately. I expect he sees us going to hell in a
handbasket, too!
You sure live in the pass out!
thanks!
Screw us over, stab us in the back, betray us, however you want to put it.
Poor you. My life is pretty good
Padre you just reminded me of something: the feeling of euphoria the night Reagan was nominated to be the candidate for the Republican party...it was an awesome feeling, coming then after the dreadful Carter years..Thank you..
And thanks to the FReeper who mentioned Romney as a populist too..I remember JFK when he was running for office, the first Catholic to run since Al Smith ~ 1928..JFK played his cards very close to the vest, then once he was in office he turned the country on it’s ear...There was many a day when we’d hear that he appointed so and so, or had signed a Bill into law that was absolutely bitter cough medicine to us...Just hope that doesnt happen with Mitt, but i think Floriduh is right- the GOP will hold his feet to the fire, same as it would Rudy’s or McCain’s...
bttt Thanks!
Great peice of ammo for the arsenal. LOL
There was an interesting tactical move in evidence by McCain tonight. He recited a littany of names from the past . . . Jack Kemp, Phil Gramm, etc. These are very old names.
The interesting part of the tactic is that it risks reminding people of his age, but it also is intended to resonate with the Florida senior population.
Front runners dont take those risks. His polling must show Romney ascendant.
Wake up man. I am referring to a compromise with the libs to get along. That’s what screwing us over is - - a Souter, an amnesty bill, tax raise, pick your poison yet know Mitt may do one of them but McCain will definately do some if not all of them.
You know what he and I both meant.

I didn’t really here great ideals in the debate tonight, I heard plenty of Ideas, few Ideals.
Good point on that allmendream.
HA! McCain getting the endorsement of the NY Times is like a Democrat getting the endorsement of George Bush. It’s gonna cost him 3-5% points in the polls...or worse.
thanks, trying to help out a new FRiend
I stopped reading the post after the “mittwitt” comment, or maybe before.
So I completely missed that the poster just threw about a bunch of major and unsupported accusations at Romney — illegitimate child, drug use, and a couple others.
That’s sad.
You need a front loader to move the steaming mountains of BS you keep leaving on your posts.
“I’m interested in broken-teeth results. No more kissy face.”
The vast, VAST majority of Republicans will fight thier way through 10 ft. of November snow to vote AGAINST Hillary in the general.
In a wheelchair...
Naked...
With rabid dogs nipping at thier heels...
Many Dems know this, and it is terrifying them.
OBama cannot be allowed to win the nomination, the Shadow Party establishment has too much to lose.
No, Rush said that on Monday after realising that John McCain might actually win the election.
Found this tidbit on the web:
Chris Matthews suffers from diabetes, and was hospitalized in fall 2006 for diabetic complications. He also survived a bout of malaria in 2002 that he likely contracted in Africa.
He is not going to compromised with he Libs what the American people have to do is not go home after the election but continued to keep our congress and senate people in line.
Or they will have a party!
