Romneyhas set himself up as so psuedo squeeky clean, self righteous, holier-than=thou, unapproachable, and infallible...devoid of human foibles

helped along by his MittWiitt groupies...

That when the Dems go hunting...and they will...and discover an illegitamate child in his past...or whatever...

That will be the end of him...

A normal red blooded man with weaknesses that are out front could stand and continue...

But the legend of Romney will kill him dead...and when past indiscresions and skeletons in the closet are exposed...they will be treated like he murdered Mother Teresa...

Romney has never been tested... he has lived a sheltered privileged life...all his 60 years...

Ask the MittWitts...they tell you how handsome talented, successful, intelligent, sun shines out of his butt perfect swoon he is...

Just done semi critise him...they come unglued...

I’ve got news for them...no man is that perfect...

Nobody lives for 60 years on this earth without a sin or two...

Hillary and Bill will sniff out whatever it is...

And make it seem worse...

An illegitimate child or a drug usage (Bill never inhaled) in an ordinary man will be forgiven...

(Even Obamas drug use is not used right now or sneered at by anyone but Hillary who wears it out...by this summer it will be way old and tired..)

or if known early enough in a presidential nominees life can be covered up and smoothed over (Gennifer Flowers)

But the October Surprise has yet to arrive ands that package will be wrapped by Hillary...

Mitt Romney is TOO perfect...hes an invention..

As bad as McCain will have it, Romney will have it worse. Look at how Conservatives here view him. Just on this thread. Flip flops, Cartoons with him talking out of seven different mouths in several different directions. Him debating himself on all his different positions. We all view him as dishonest and pandering. Imagine how independents will view him, if that’s how we view him.

Uhh..I don't know what thread you've been reading but I would say the split is about 70-30 pro-Mitt. That's because the core of anti-Mitt posts are short and provided by about 7 posters.

Romney didn’t “cook up” the plan. Most of it was already part of his long-term economic plan.

With seniors wanting to work longer, taxing their social security benefits JUST because they decide to work is stupid. Why should two people get different amounts of Social Security simply because one is lounging by the pool and the other is still being a productive member of society (btw, we TAX the productive one who is paying income and social security taxes on their earnings, NOT the guy lounging by the pool).

“It looks like our future is in Romney’s hands. If he goes liberal like most politicians seem to do in office, America is screwed.”

He won’t. Remember, he’ll want a second term in office. He’ll toe the party line if he wants to get re-upped. So, not to worry.

McCain thinks Florida’s going to sink. It isn’t but he will. McCain uses the politics of “what if” to scare people.

"Ron Paul - Ron Paul's challenge in making himself look good"

Ron Paul is the equivilent of one of those satire news articles that has you going until you figure out it's a joke. He can suck you in and you start thinking this guy is really tuned in, here's someone who knows what's going on, then suddenly you realize you've taken a turn into kookville and feel rather sheepish. Come on, I'm not the only one.

I’m a Fred guy; well, I was until he dropped out. IMO, on the Debate tonight, Huckabee won.

I can see why Duncan Hunter is endorsing him. I’m still not sold yet.

You willfully took it out of context!

That's quite a serious statement, which you have no way of knowing the truth of it.

This is a live thread.

Most people keep up and understand when something is posted it relates to the event being discussed.

You choose to call me names, and brand me a liar because of your own inability to comprehend fast moving threads.

Don't participate if you can't do so in a civil manner.

Here's an example of taking out of context:

"My father and I marched with Martin Luther King Jr. through the streets of Detroit."

The context is that Romney later denied it when he was asked to tell the truth.

It is fun watching Ron Paul have Ben Bernanke actually answer questions directly. Greenspan had Paul and every other congresscritter pulling their hair out.

He was a a master at talking for 40 minutes in response to a Congressman’s inane question, using technical jargon. At the end everyone would either be asleep or too afraid to ask a question and look stupid.

Mostly what I want is someone not a liberal Democrat making court appointments. Everything after that is icing on the cake. The liberals have used the courts for decades to unbalance the playing field.

I think you are right about being able to hold Romney’s feet to the fire. Look what we did with Bush over Harriet Miers.
