I first saw Hopkins in the early 1970s on public TV’s “Masterpiece Theater” which was broadcasting a British TV version of “War & Peace”. Hopkins played Pierre Bezuhov.

If you haven't seen "Lion in Winter" (1968) I can highly recommend it...Hopkins was very young...
