It’s one of Gilliam’s worst films. He was embarrased by it.

It’s on the AP. It’s on Bloomberg News. It’s on the NYT site.

Yeah, he has/had quite a range....cocky teen in Ten Things and heartbreakingly unloved son in Monsters Ball.

I loved him as Mel Gibsons eldest son in The Patriot. So did I. Poor man. Prayers for him and his family.

They haven’t said yet. The big gossip sites are all down, presumably from all the hits they are getting.

“was to play the Joker in the new Batman movie.”
I think the movie’s in post-production. It’s coming out this summer.

retrokitten says it’s Julia Stiles. I vaguely remembered that it was a Shakespearean plot. Might be fun for Anoreth, although she usually spends the evening on the Internet when I’m coloring our hair and watching girlie movies!

Drug related? That's odd. The guy said here that he never touches them. Must be more to this story. Could be suicide, I suppose....

Could’ve been an accidental overdose, or it could be unrelated. Would have to wait for the tox screen to be sure really... If he had a heart attack while perhaps holding the bottle of pills, or a seizure that could explain how they were strewn about...

Not to sound cold, but...don’t people die untimely deaths all the time ? Celebrity ? Why should I care any more than if my mortgage broker or kid’s teacher died ?

I give him credit for playing a tough role which garnered him an oscar nomination, He shouldn't get any credit for playing that sick role.
Didn't think much of him. That being said, I don't wish him dead.

To: peggybac
He was fantastic as Casanova.
To: mysterio
Maybe he took too many of a prescription drug he was on. I’ve known a few cases personally where that has happened.
This is incredibly sad, he was so young and so talented, and he leaves behind a little daughter.
