Carl Cameron says it'll become offical sometime later this week.
Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.

Romney is clearly the optimal choice at this point. The end of a campaign is always painful for supporters. Folks have to assimilate and process the new configuration.
It is traditional for campaigns to pick up at least a few of the ended campaign’s people. Romney is the only one with money to do that.

With the SC outcome and his mother being sick it would have been difficult to see him do anything else. I hope his mother gets better and he gets to spend a lot of time just enjoying what’s really important - his family.

Thanks in advance.

The Speculation that Fred was dropping out lasted almost as long as the Speculation that Fred was going to Get into the Race.

ditto.
Fox (E.D.) said he went to his Nashville office and told them he was "closing up shop".

lets just hope none of his supporters get duped into voting for Mc Cain.
Voting for him would be voting for the likes of ted kennedy, popen borders, tax increases etc etc

“In other news, police in dozens of cities and towns across America are investigating mysterious ‘heads exploding’ deaths. These deaths occurred with the victims sitting in front of their computers, logged on to a website called FreeRepublic.com, and viewing what is commonly called a thread on the site titled ‘Fred Thompson quits.’ “

wasn’t Cameron saying the same thing yesterday? That’s where Ingraham got her info? Make it official later in the week? Haven’t even heard unofficial except from this freakin’ blogger.

It is cold and rainy here in North Georgia. Matches my mood completely. I am very sad about this. God Bless you and your family Senator!
As for the race as it will stand now, I cannot support Huckabee or McCain under any circumstances. Looks like I will have to try to find some enthusiasim for Mitt.
BOO! HOO! :(
