Oh well, we're doomed. Let's hope it'll be minimal damage until 2012.

That will be constructive. Why not just really show em and vote for Hillary? History repeats itself vote foolishly and get a Clinton. Sweet.

So, based on your first sentence, you want us to consider image over substance, and image over conservatism? Sorry, no sale.

I suppose it's time to start looking at other candidates.

Yup, and I've only got one week to do just that. I'm inclined to go with the known quantity, much as it McPains me. I've never been able to trust Willard the Flip-Flopping Snake-Oil-Selling Ken Doll.

2. Romney: is a radical social liberal who repented JUST AS he entered the race. His redeeming value is that he’s filthy rich and willing to teach all of us how to become rich (gods) in our own right.

Get a load of this guy...

How many radical liberals are for people being rich?

“No he won’t. His camp has already said no endorsements.”

Good thing too.
We’d have a slew of “stalking horse conspiracy theory threads” if he did in fact endorse.

Proamnesty-antiBushtaxcuts-proCO2caps-CFR-RINO John McCain delenda est!

Ergo, support Mitt Romney.

That is not a bad idea.

Hillary and McCain on most every issue are carbon copies of each other and will screw things up so badly that they will without a doubt be one term presidents, leaving a big opening for a conservative, just like in 1980.

Republicans, in the long run would be better off supporting Hillary than McCain.

Fred lost his 38 year old daughter to an accidental overdose of prescription drugs almost 6 years ago. With his mother’s illness and his own brush with cancer, I’m sure family is playing a big role in his decision. As much as I wanted him to be the GOP nominee, I can respect his decision to quit. I wish him and his family well now and in the future. I guess it’s time to move on.

The is the same defeatist baloney the GOP has been employing for years. It has only brought incremental socialism to the party. “

The problem is that the same people still attend the party events and run it. Other people come and vote and complain, but they don’t take the time to get involved.
Just voting once in awhile won’t change the party.

I really like Fred. This is too bad, but Fred seemed to me to be kind of dis-interested. His energy level was too low. Plus he started 3-4 months too late. Bad strategy.
