That is not a bad idea.

Hillary and McCain on most every issue are carbon copies of each other and will screw things up so badly that they will without a doubt be one term presidents, leaving a big opening for a conservative, just like in 1980.

Republicans, in the long run would be better off supporting Hillary than McCain.

Republicans would be better off supporting the candidate that most mirrors their stand on the issues. There is no way that would ever be Hillary. That woman would finish the USA off. There would be no "long-term" with her in there.
