OFFICIAL FR NFL CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME SUNDAY LIVE THREAD
JANUARY 20TH, 2008
AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
3:00PM ET - CBS
NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
6:30PM ET - FOX
Don’t know about that but I hope this Manning has the same success as the other Manning had last year in the Super Bowl. I hate the Patriots.
Final (telling) stats:
First downs: Giants 22, Packers 13
Rushing yards: Giants 134, Packers 28
Time of possession: Giants 40:00, Packers 22:00
The game wasn’t as close as the score indicated. The line of scrimmage was complete controlled by the G-Men.
See you in a couple weeks for the rematch of the (very) close contest that closed out the regular season.
Go Giants!
Bed heck. Tomorrow is a holiday. I’m gonna have a beer to celebrate.
Unbelievable game!
The Giants came close to beating the Pats so here’s hoping for another trophy for the Manning family. They are a class act for sure. (As is Mr. Favre).
Me too Scott, this was a good game. I would have been crazy yelling too with the OT if my team was in it.
If the Giants get a push on Brady they can win, if they don't they can't. Simple as that.
Well even though it will be annoying to deal with Archie and Eli Manning the next couple of weeks, at least we won’t be subjected to two more weeks of “human-interest” stories on how Brett kicked painkiller addictions, had to deal with adversity on the home front, how he “resurrected” his career when everybody though he was finished, how he is such a “nice” guy, blah, blah, blah.

I guess that Patriots are polishing up the Lombardi trophy now. Just dreadful.
Cripes! Tom better get some treatment for frostbite never mind talking to Bradshaw!
Yeah, they squandered some chances, but the Packers never got the chances. That last int was all on Favre.
You know football.
Of course they did lead the league in sacks, and do it without a lot of blitzing which you have to do in order to cover all those Pats receivers. Should be entertaining. Though I was hoping for perfect season-vs-Favre winning his last. Guess I’ll just be rooting for the perfect season now.
Now THAT was an awesome Super Bowl! :)
Deion: I believe in you Eli.
During the TV break, I was listening to the radio on the wrong station, the news babe just said the Red Sox and the Yankees will play in he Super Bowl...Hired for her voice not for her brains...
I think 14 points. That’s pretty much been the standard spread with the Pats this year.
The Patriots have played New York teams 5 times this season and won em all.
Sure, Boston area fans have a complex after all of those Yankee beatings.
But now, it is so over for New York.
The Giants will be humiliated in the Super Bowl, now that the Patriots have been unleashed from their NFL political shackles.
You'll see.
Meanwhile, Congrats to the NY Giants. Enjoy it while you can.
