Sen. John McCain won Saturday's South Carolina Republican presidential primary, AP projects.

Fox News and NBC News exit polls ranked the economy as the top concern among South Carolina primary voters, followed by illegal immigration, the war in Iraq, and terrorism.

Columnist and Weekly Standard Editor William Kristol commenting on Saturday's results on the Fox News Channel said that the Republican field is now winnowing down to just three viable candidates: McCain, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani.

The folks in SC are most worried about illegal immigration and then vote for Mr. Amnesty himself. Unbelievable.

I’d vote for Giuliani in the general election (if I have to), but I refuse to vote for either Huckabee or McCain. That’s just the way it is—even if it means a Democrat president.

Hear, hear! Better the enemy at the gates than the enemy within.

Why? I guess the truth is too hard to hear.

I'm not saying McCain will win the Republican nomination, but if he does, he'll be a better bet for strict constructionist judges than a Democrat

McCain wouldn't dare put a constructionist judge before his friends on the left for confirmation. He has too much regard for their time to waste it like that.

I fear the American Idol public knows as more about who'd make a great pop star than who'd make a great president. More of them vote for Idol anyways, right?

I get your point. More people know about Sanjaya than about Duncan Hunter. I don't watch American Idol except for a few minutes here and there, but I would bet you Simon and Paula would tell Bruce Springstein that he will never make it in the business. His voice sucks and his wardrobe is too plain. (forget the fact that Bruce is lib for sec, you get my point)

Are you claiming that George W. Bush is a conservative?

Massachusetts has not even had their primary yet.

MA moved ours up to Feb. 5th, so I get to vote for Fred on Super Duper Tuesday!

Politically there is very little difference between Hillary and McCain. Exactly. Which is why I will not vote for either of them.

Which is why I hope Bloomberg joins the fray. Dilute the witch's base. Ross Bloomberg- has a nice ring to it.

And the propaganda continues....and the sheep will continue to be lead to their slaughter.

Facts are not propaganda.

Facts?

Two things;

First, show me the demographics of a poll that says McCain beats Hillary.

Second, look at the posts on this board and describe for me the Republican base support for McCain.

I'll be back in a few minutes to look for your response.

The MSM mixed up a reservoir of Kool AID laced with gloom and doom on the economy and pushed everything off the stage but why they think McPain is the PIPER is way too early. The Lemmings are leading us over the cliff...

He can put Eastern states in play and he will lose them all.

hillary will take states in his backyard, along with all of the close states that he will lose because of - are you ready? - the loss of conservative voter support.

Why do you say that?

The loss of conservative voter support in close states.
That is what it is.

The Republicans are only seating 1/2 of Florida delegates, the Democrats aren’t seating any Florida delegates...

So much for “every vote must count.”
