Sen. John McCain won Saturday's South Carolina Republican presidential primary, AP projects.
Fox News and NBC News exit polls ranked the economy as the top concern among South Carolina primary voters, followed by illegal immigration, the war in Iraq, and terrorism.
Columnist and Weekly Standard Editor William Kristol commenting on Saturday's results on the Fox News Channel said that the Republican field is now winnowing down to just three viable candidates: McCain, Mitt Romney, and Rudy Giuliani.
Ask Wisconsin Right to Life if they see any difference between John McCain and Hillary Clinton. McQueeg's actually done more real, practical damage to the life movement than Hillary's been able to.
Otherwise, great overview of McQueeg's jihad against conservatism. There is no worse option in this election.
Hell, for the first time in years, NOBODY understands it.
Its an MSM lead parody of a primary.
Conservative Republicans are sorely pi$$ed.
FR has fallen relatively, ominously silent.
Will that matter when we have an even larger terrorist attack because the Democrats are soft on foreign policy and military matters?
Yes. As a matter of fact, yes.
The enemy within is more dangerous to America than a bunch of raghead nutjobs with blood in their eye.
Even Osama cannot open the borders of America to 30 million illegals and give them the vote.
McCain can and will, no doubt about it.
“Good point. Scary that the GOP Party is so fractured that they cant vote for a Conservative like Fred who can easily beat a candidate like Hillary who”
It simply boggles the mind that McCain and Huck are ahead of Fred.
Unfortunately, your logic is hard to refute. Our choice between now and then is to find a standard bearer for a Conservative comeback in 2010 and 2012, and make it clear to Republican Central that we will never support RINO's.
I fear the American Idol public knows as more about who'd make a great pop star than who'd make a great president. More of them vote for Idol anyways, right?
No, I always vote.
Would probably just write in Fred. Need to figure out how to do that now that we have electronic ballots.
Republicans don’t have much of a chance in ‘08. They have failed to understand the impact of Iraq, and the out of control spending will be the reason a democrat is elected.
Bush needs to start massive troop withdrawals and tell the Iraqis it’s time they are on their own.
If the choice is McCain or Huckabee...
Then Hillary wins hands down.
All this talk about McCain being able to beat hillary is nonsense.
Well, Hillary or Obama sure as hell won't appoint strict constructionists, that's for sure. I'm not saying McCain will win the Republican nomination, but if he does, he'll be a better bet for strict constructionist judges than a Democrat. Any of the Republican candidates would. That's the point the girl was making to these "take their marbles and go home" people, the ones who say they won't vote for McCain (or Huckabee, or Romney--whoever it is that doesn't come up to their brand of snuff), and would rather have a Democrat president than soil their so-called ideological purity by voting for the "leper" Republican.
On the same ticket he can.
His major accomplishments are damn near the mirror image of her Platform.
Hillary will beat him with shocking ease.
Mitt cannot even win his own state against her.
McCain will trounce Hillary in the general. Just last week the Rasmussen poll had him beating her by ten points in the general matchup.
McCain could put east coast states in play.
I just want to beat “fat ankles” even if I have to use McCain to do it.
Why do you say that?
It may be... but we have to carry on like it's not. McCain has to be stopped in Florida.
Terrific. It comes down to Florida again. So much for quitting smoking this winter.
Just got my order of Fred t-shirts and buttons on friday. Sad to look at them now.
And another thing, I hope we’ll be hearing some pledges soon that you’ll move to Canada if McCain wins. Why not renounce your US citizenship while you’re at it.
Did I hurt your feelings? Well, now you have another reason why not to vote in Nov.
GROW UP. Serious issues are at stake. Keep things in perspective, including your pride.
I don't get it. I really don't. America was founded on the idea of freedom, rugged individualism and self reliance. At what point did people become so lazy that they will vote for the candidate that promises the most largesse from the public treasury?
There is no freedom without personal responsibility. What 30+ year old voting adult would want to have government be their parents? Give them an allowance, take it away and tell them what to do.
They want people like Huck or Bloomberg to take care of them. I refuse to be a ward of the state. They can all kiss my hairy beanbag.
And the propaganda continues....and the sheep will continue to be lead to their slaughter.
Facts are not propaganda.
LOL, scram.
