Hey, I’m in Greenville and won’t let a little snow deter me from voting for Fred! You know the saying “Broken Glass Republicans”? Snow just covers up the glass :)

Turn out would be low even if the weather is good. The people who are solid behind a candidate will get out to vote for that candidate.

"The media would make a caricature of Huckabee before the general election - we would have to brace for a Democrat landslide victory"

That's why they were pushing Paul...Huckabee is just their second choice for clown: an afterthought, but ANY ol' clown will do.

A Republican can not win in the general with out the help of the new media and talk radio.

If we elect someone like McCain or Huckabee, who have no respect in Talk Radio, then we are doomed. It will be the end of the GOP.

I have talked to ppl at my office all week about Fred vs Huck. Most of them did not know about him supporting illegals getting college funding.

I also gave out and emailed Cincinnatus’ “Four reasons why this Christian cannot vote for Huckabee”. That was a great piece of work. I sent it to the local talk radio morning guy, and he read most of it on the air yesterday morning!

Everyone I have been in contact with this week was either undecided or voting for Fred. I called my family early this morning to tell them to get out and vote early before the weather changes. So, all we can do now is pray.

Likely no one can stop you by presenting counterpoints, or you wouldn’t have put your conclusion on FR. However, I need a clear conscience so here’s the counterpoint.

Fred Thompson cannot survive unless he does well in SC. How well, we don’t yet have nailed down. But better than “poorly or barely so-so”. If he does survive to fight later in other southern states where he might also do well, then we might have a conservative in the hunt come convention time, the way this thing is dividing up. If Fred goes away, that hope goes away.

This is your moment. It’s all you have. There is no tomorrow when all of these factors will line up for you with the stakes being what they are today. In addition to the conservative desperately needing your vote to stay viable, I have to say that Huckabee literally makes my skin crawl and he scares me to death. I could not in good conscience cast my vote for such as he in some shot in the dark response to perceived situations involving polls and stopping somebody down the line if not now, etc. And that comes from someone who deeply, deeply dislikes and distrusts McCain.

I’m a Hunter enthusiast and supporter. He’s a great, great man who is being sadly pushed aside and ignored. However, Fred is my second choice and if I lived in SC I’d have already voted for Fred, and THAT would be my way of stating my utter disdain for BOTH McCain and Huckabee, and my doubts about Romney.

You know there is another reason NOT to vote for John McCAin! As a resident of Arizona, I know that if McCain wins the whole race and becomes President, our Gov - Janet Napolitano (who is a lesbian liberal) will appoint a liberal senator to replace McCain until his term comes up in 2010...NO THANK YOU!

A plea for SO Carolina voters to rush to the polls and vote FRed into the lead in this horse race. Put conservatism back into the lead. Save America from itself.

And I find it ironic that anyone who would support McCain or Huckabee would call themselves a Republican, let alone a conservative.

"Would like to hear from any other Fred supporters on what they think of this combo"

I said on another thread that if I can't have Fred as president, I'll gladly take him as vp, though I can't see him and McCain working all that well togather. McCain's an egotist always willing to drop his shorts and bend over for Kennedy and Kerry. IMO, Fred wouldn't deal well with that...on the OTHER hand, Fred would be a BALANCING influence on McInsane's behavior.

As for those pulling out the tinfoil...they don't and never have supported Fred. They're Hunter/Paulites who've teamed up with Huckabees cheerleaders to smear Fred with lies and innuendo.

Re 1980: I was only 16 at the time, but I showed up at the polling place anyway to make sure that there were people standing in line to vote against Carter. This was in Virginia - the only Southern state to go for Ford in ‘76.

It will be a long, long way for me to travel, I’m nowhere even near South Carolina, but maybe we should all meet at the annual services of the Church of St. James’, Santee, the first Sunday after Easter, and Sheldon Church, the second Sunday after Easter, for a collective prayer for our beleved country and its deliverance from the decadence that threatens to destroy Western Civilization, the political manifestation of which is the Democrat Party.

I don't believe it's been mentioned, but Nevada holds more seats to the convention than SC and I'll be watching that race also. Fred, I don't believe, did any campaigning in Nevada, so I look for a Romney win there.

That said, IMHO, Fred will do very well in the SC primary and again show that the pollsters are the news and not the candidate(s). We'll have repeat of the NH dems polls vs votes scenario. Pollsters wrong, voters right. (Not that voting for the Hildabeast is right) But, you get my gist.

Go Fred!
