Fortunately, our frount-runner is a conservative who has ties to the midwest, Michigan, AND the northeast. Because a liberal would be a problem.
If you believe that, you elect him and you invest your treasure in him. You can also live with the knowledge that you supported him when he double-crosses you.
I'll not help turn the national GOP into the Massachusetts GOP.

For those who actually believe the ridiculous position that he would run just as a foil for McCain, ask yourselves this: A man in his 60s, with a successful former congressional stint whos financially comfortable, and has been literally besieged with lucrative radio offers that he turned down for this pursuit with a young wife and 2 toddlers incurring a financially risky and physically tiring campaign schedule with this young family in his mature years He would do all this for SOMEBODY ELSE ? So is McCain paying him big bucks to endure and put himself and his family through all this ? Whats Fred get out of it?The risks for Fred are relatively small. He hasn't faced a particularly hostile press nor has he lost much time campaigning, as his effort was lackadaisical at best. At the same time, Fred gets to raise his national profile and possibly get a cabinet position or even become Vice President. McCain may not even live another 8 years, seeing as how he's older than Moses. The Vice President could easily ascend to the highest office in the land, and he wouldn't even have to win an election.

Without Romney, Mass may have already have had a european style plan. Romney may have saved us from real socialized medicine. The reason I say that is 27 states are looking at ways to insure their citizens in private insurance programs.
You never told me how requiring you have health insurance is any different from requiring you to have auto insurance.
In Virginia, if you don’t have auto insurance, your license is suspended and you have to pay a $500 fine to get it reinstated and prove you have coverage. This is only for libiality. You don’t have to cover your own vehicle.

Based on population, what caused the vote in the South Carolina Republican primary to be down 35% ?
I don't know, but it's ominous. We could seriously be looking at a Republican wipe out of historic proportions in November.

I don’t understand the speculation. It won’t make it happen, and when it does happen, whatever was guessed at won’t matter one whit.
In the meantime, if you want to speculate, why not speculate on Fred doing some thing good for the party, rather than bad?

"You never told me how requiring you have health insurance is any different from requiring you to have auto insurance."
With auto insurance you only have to insure for liability - you don't have to insure yourself. You can incurr that risk.
To: restornu
That’s still a substantial number. Bad weather? Was it raining?

Romney will crush Obama. Obama will have a problem because of his race, and he could overcome it by sounding competent and ready to lead.
But next to Romney, he will sound like some young guy who has never really accomplished anything. The only reason he looks serious is because he is debating Hillary and Edwards.
Remember how Cheney made Edwards look like an idiot? Well, in the Nevada debate, the DEMOCRATS all thought Edwards crushed Hillary and Obama in the debate.

. Bad weather? Was it raining? The weather sucked across the state. Also, in 2000, we had a lot of crossover votes....something I don't believe we had this year.
