Today is the day.
Actually this is chickens coming home to roost - the chickens that were hatched when Poppy got the Veep slot in 1980
“Fundamentalist Christians are not necessarily conservative.”
I don’t disagree with what you said, and I’m a evangelical Christian. But the same can be said for Mormons. They seem to vote for their guy even if he’s a RINO.
Pal - save the scripture. We elect a president - not a pastor. This man is not ready for the world stage - especially to be a leader of a nation that is at war. Mr. Huckabee is is pulling the levers behind the screen. Soon - a little dog will pull the curtain back to reveal an empyt suit. He is not the real deal. Respect? He did not show that to Mr. Thompson when he used near potty language afte the last debate. That is not maturity - and certainly not the maturity of a ‘pastor.’
?
So it’s Bush’s fault that Fred Thompson/Duncan Hunter lost?
If I may chime in...I don’t know if you are in FL or not but we have a very important Tax referendum on the ballot. I think it is partially responsible for a big turnout. We have been voting since Monday, and Rudy was all over the place. If you run ads now you should get a discount.
I have long said:
I am a Republican when they are conservative, and not when they are not.
If Fred is not the nominee, I am writing his name in on my ballot in November. I won’t do diddly squat to help any of the liberals who remain.
Also Goldwater turned liberal in the last years of his career. I think he had a secular funeral too with no reference to the Deity.
This is all I need to know about Governor Huckabee to not support him:
Exodus
20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
It may make you feel better, but practically that is an endorsement of HRC, and she will gladly take your vote anyway she can get it.
He is.
You need to post more often.....you nailed it.
"Politics is the art of the possible" - Bismarck.
People need to separate fantasy from political strategy, as well.
Yes, and he desperately needs a job..
sw
People, stop. It’s Over. It’s done. He had his shot.
Staying in faces even more starkly the reality he has faced for over a month.
There Is No Path From Point A To Point B.
There is no scenario that gets him the nomination. He can’t pay for ads in big media markets. A “brokered convention” doesn’t annoint a 100 delegate candidate over a 1000 delegate candidate. And if he doesn’t want VP, as everyone seems to claim, then Why Stay In? There is no relevance. He isn’t holding anyone or anything rightward.
The only thing he is doing is splitting the anti McCain vote. Everyone here swears he would never take their money and spend it that way, that there is no conspiracy.
Fine, then it’s time for him to do the difficult thing and end that which is already over.
Yes, I saw that Powerline is saying he will think things over while he is visiting her. They are saying they don’t see much use in him staying in the race.
He surely doesn’t have a prayer of winning if he quits!
Well, Yaelle, probably no one read that post but you since this thread moves so fast, so we’ll just keep my age under wraps, ok?
Bork doesn’t believe the second amendment is an individual right. His endorsement makes the endorsee more suspect, IMO.
Not true, practically or in any other way.
